Level Up Tattoo Studio Great Falls

Started my sleeve at level up back in 2013, Pablo was my initial artist who did my first piece. I loved every design he came up with. If you are a fan of Black and Gray, even color then Level Up is the way to go. Derick finished my sleeve as he is Pablos Apprentice and did extremely well with my references I gave him. The shop set up is made entirely with the customer in mind. No messy lobby or extra unnecessary equipment. Snacks and Water is provided. Very clean stations and shop! A limited number of tattoos get done a week, Donna and the Level Up team made sure I was accommodated accordingly.

The prices have gone up since I initially started my sleeve with Level Up and I would gladly play another +$3000 to get another sleeve. Throughout the years each tattoo has held up very well. Donna managed my appointments well and always treated me kindly.

The artists work ages like fine wine, they are dedicated to getting better each year, I hope to get more work from them down the road!

They don’t treat potential customers very well. Very picky on what projects they will take. I didn’t ask for anything extreme just wanted a fish essentially with a legal spin on it which any good artist could do I even would have let their own way. They wouldn’t take the business like they hate money. Recommend trying someone else that can treat potential customers better and actually do what customers want. Been to other world class tattoo shops that would do it in a heartbeat.

My experience with Upper Level Tattoo was great. They not only did my tattoo, they also did my husband’s and stepsons. Everyone in the shop is great, easy to work with and Pablo delivered on a quality tattoo every time. Plan on getting another very soon.

Well I heard of this place, and have been told there's 2 amazing artists located here.
But after what they just put my daughter through and apparently (after reading the reviews) I definitely won't be going to this place, nor recommend it. (I seriously don't have the patience for unprofessionalism/ canceling day of/receptionist dealing w the previews instead of artist/and multiple requests of "do you just want a refund" instead of making things right?). I also don't know of a tattoo shop that doesn't let you talk to the artist one on one? And I've been to many! Plus conferences.
So.... sad that this is their business plan. This Pablo and Derek have some amazing pieces. Giving a modest 2 stars because not personally invested into their shop.

I have gotten two tattoos from Derrick. The first was a simple "I know what I want, this symbol has meaning to me, can you add this in to it?" And he knocked it out of the park! My second, I came in with a concept and let Derrick have full creative control, and he blew my mind! If you have an idea of what you want, let the guys know and give them control. Seriously! You will not be disappointed!
The facility is clean, spacious, and staffed with two of the most amazing artist that I have ever met, and can't forget about their bad ass manager who keeps them in line and on time!

I have had two pieces done at Level Up and have been so happy with both experiences. Donna is a wonderful woman to bounce ideas off in order to help create your vision. She’s extremely professional and a great support during and after appointments. The shop is extremely clean and everyone I encountered was very kind. I felt very safe in my choice of choosing Level Up for my artwork.

Derick Shaulis did both of my pieces and he did a fantastic job! He was very professional, respectful and courteous during the entirety of both sessions. He made sure to check on me frequently to see if I need a break or water. He’s very talented and I would definitely recommend him and Level Up for anyones tattoo needs.

Absolutely love this place! Pablo is absolutely amazing at what he does! Guaranteed amazing work! You WILL be please with whatever you get! The environment and atmosphere of the shop is very relaxing and they make you feel comfortable and at ease! The shop, his stations, and his tools and equipment are incredibly clean compared to most shops I have been to! A huge shout out to Pablo and his receptionist for being absolutely great to deal with! I appreciate you both and will be returning and will always recommend you guys to others!

I recently got a tattoo here and I loved it! The studio was very clean and felt cozy. Everyone was super nice! I had such a great experience, and the quality of the tattoo was phenomenal! Definitely going here for all my tattoos in the future!

I absolutely love Level Up Tattoo, i’ve been coming here since i was 18 and after 7 years I’m still coming back. Derick is such an amazingly talented artist who has done nearly every single tattoo of mine of all different styles. Derick takes the time to come up with truly unique designs and takes pride in his work, I absolutely love coming into this shop knowing i’ll be in good hands. The whole shop overall is amazing, Pablo is extremely talented, Donna is such a nice receptionist making sure you’re comfortable and will gladly assist you with your needs, and the shop itself it beautiful and clean. Anyways i’ve lived here in Montana for 14 years and have done my research of other artists all over the state, Level up is hands down the only shop i will go to. Their work is impeccable and it shows how much they love and care about the trade, I recommend Level Up to everyone I know because I know they’ll be in good hands. Overall Level Up takes pride in their work and it shows in their tattoos, every time I go out (locally or wherever I travel) someone stops me to ask where i get my work done and compliment my ink. Anyways Derick, Pablo and Donna are awesome and you won’t regret getting any work done here.

Absolutely love this place! Everyone is very professional and is great at appeasing what you want and making sure that it is pleasing to the eye. I have gotten tattoos from both Derrick and Pablo and both are super personable. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a tattoo in Montana. Donna in the front of shop is great at getting back to you quickly as well! Love them all and am scared to go to any other shops.
