Made an appointment 3 weeks out. Took off work for a 5 hour session, I get a text 1 hour before the appointment to cancel on me. On top of that the artist didn't even know what I wanted done. So clearly no effort was put into preparing for the session. No call back to reschedule. Ate my deposit too. Not very professional in my opinion

I went in with my guardian and another minor with their guardian today to get a piercing. I’ve previously had very good experiences at this place but today I was absolutely disgusted. We called earlier to make an appointment and we set up a time and we were told to bring forms of ID. We showed up and the lady at the front desk asked for ID’s OR birth certificates and we all pulled out our id’s and she asked where our birth certificates were and we said we were just gonna use our ID’s well according to the front desk lady we had to have our birth certificate due to a new rule unforced by the health department and we asked since when has this been required because I have been getting piercing here since 2017 and I was 13 and never had to have my birth certificate. She told us they just implemented this last year. Well I recently just got a septum piercing done in February and didn’t have to have it so first lie. Then we were told that she had worked there for 3 years and she has had to implement this for 2 years so second lie and on top of that we were told to show ID’s OR birth certificates just to find out we needed both so third lie. I am very disappointed with black lotus and I will not be returning for a long time. The lady started to rude with us when we trying to understand why we needed it now but not in February because if the rule had been implemented a year ago then I shouldn’t have been able to get one in February without it. So I’m very upset we were lied too and were treated rudely.

I came here to get my nose pierced. I got pierced by bill and he was so sweet. Very knowledgeable and very informative.I was asking questions about future piercings and he had no issues answering them and discussing them.

My only complaint is that they carry BVLA but you can’t get pierced with it. I’ve never responded well to surgical steel so I’ve had a lot of issues with my piercing healing. Other than that, not a bad experience overall

Just left from getting my ears pierced and the lady who pierced them was absolutely amazing. She made me feel comfortable and eased my nerves. Didnt make me feel judged for being absolutely petrified. Definitely recommend this place and her! She only works on Monday nights. GO IN, GET PIERCED AND MAKE SURE YOU TIP YOUR PIERCERS AND TATTOO ARTISTS 👏👏👏

Clean, friendly environment. Had the pleasure to work with John. In summary, I walked away with a final product that was exactly as I’d envisioned in my head beforehand. Great detail, diligence, and patience throughout the whole process. If you’re looking for great work, and want to go for a darker themed piece, John is your guy.

I absolutely love Black Lotus. Harley has done two of my tattoos this past year and they turned out better than I expected (one was a walk in, one was by appointment). I also just got a couple of piercings and Nicole was absolutely amazing! Overall a great place and I love coming here for my tattoos and piercings. Would definitely recommend.

Jessica and Bill are very professional and great at what they do! They do an awesome job talking you through the procedure and making sure you are comfortable and happy with everything. The facility is clean and all of the employees are so nice and helpful.

Hey all. Let me preface by saying the shop itself is very clean and the staff is very nice and friendly. This review is aimed at my tattoo, NOT the shop itself.
I brought in exactly what I wanted done and had an appointment. The artist stenciled it out and I had to fix a few small things, which I could tell irritated her. That made me feel bad, but hey, gotta be perfect right?! Well, she placed the stencils on and started blasting.
When we got done, I realized she had really messed up the lines in several parts. Extremely disheartening. It doesn't even look like what I brought in. She did a good job on a friends tattoo but not mine unfortunately. So I've added and tried to fix it but it's the placement and the lack of attention to detail that had left me unsatisfied and very disappointed.
I felt rushed and like I was a bother.
Really disappointing experience considering how much positive feedback this place gets!!

Wasn’t there 5 minutes. Stopped in to purchase a replacement piece of jewelry and was treated horribly. Was completely ignored by the piercer (no longer Isaac) while browsing the display cabinet, and when one of the tattoo artists looked over toward me and I asked about making a purchase- the artist snapped at me “She’s busy.. you’ll JUST have to wait”

Been there several times over the years, and it honestly used to be a pretty decent shop. This last experience was quite different. Never again.
