The people here are so very nice and attentive! My artist was Jeremy Sloo and he was very honest and informative about tattooing and what to expect. This was my very first tattoo and everyone here did an amazing job making me feel at ease at any time I had a question about my tattoos healing process. They responded so quickly to my concerns and took them seriously. I love my tattoo and would reccomend this place and Jeremy to anyone!! Note: I got a Dark Space Siren with Box Jellyfish

Hands down the gold standard for all tattoo shops. From the second you step in the shop, every single person there makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. The shop is kept neat and clean, and everything is conducted in a professional manner. The talent of tattooers and the quality of service is as good as you will find anywhere (just take a look at their Instagram page for visible proof). The store manager, Brandon, is incredibly friendly and helpful - made the entire experience smooth and easy. My tattooer was Chris Stuart - the owner - and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the quality of my tattoo and the overall service. I will always recommend everyone to this shop, and I will always get any future tattoos here myself when possible.

Accommodating and professional artists! Went in for a very small but emotional piece. They managed to squeeze me in for a same-day appointment, helped me navigate artwork, and were exceedingly patient throughout the process. Michael is by far the most talented, professional piercer. I did a lot of research on where to go and what I wanted, and he made it happen. I have told so many friends about him the shop! He’s as much of an artist as the tattoo guys and he has beautiful jewelry. He is very knowledgeable and gave me great advice. I’m so pleased with my piercings and can’t wait to get more!

What a great experience for my first tattoo! This place lives up to the hype. Just a group of cool, friendly, talented people who clearly love making amazing art. Got an upper arm tat from Mason - can't wait till I can afford to get another.
Also - if you're thinking of getting a tat during COVID, don't hesitate. Everybody was cautious, everybody was wearing masks, etc. You can't even walk inside without a temp scan. Felt totally safe.

I can't say enough good things about Made to Last - in fact, I'm not sure where to start this review! The studio is in a beautiful historic building in uptown Charlotte, decorated with sophisticated sympathy to its structure and aesthetic. Inside, it's bright, clean, and immediately inviting. Every single one of the staff are enthusiastic, kind, and crazy talented. You can tell they care deeply for what they do and are very conscious of looking after their customers. I worked with Bryan to size and place a piece he had designed based on a couple of ideas I had. Not only was the design individual to me but he'd also nailed the kind of look that would go with my other tattoos. He was such a pleasure to be tattooed by: we chatted for some of the session and other times were quiet just listening to music as he worked; he made me feel very comfortable and checked in to see how I was doing multiple times. I really love MTL for its people and its inclusive ambience - I've now taken two friends there to get tattooed, too, in fact! Can't recommend them highly enough. I will be back!
