Custom Concepts Tattoos and Designs

Definitely worth 5 stars! I have had over 15 tattoos done with Jay and he is awesome. Everyone there is friendly and professional. Best parlor I have been to anywhere. If you want some great body art go to see Terry, Chris or Jay for the best.

Tattoos are the best kind of hobby: the kind in which you get to lie down and make someone else do all the work. (Amirite, ladies—no, let’s just let that one go.)

I love tattoos, and choosing the perfect artist requires a level of trust and optimism: your artist will be skillful, they will understand and share your particular vision, and, crucially, that at least one of you will to double-check the sketches before committing it to your flesh forever.

I chose Custom Concepts Tattoo and Design for all the reasons above and could not have been more blown away by the professionalism, design, cleanliness, respect, and attention-to-detail.

Terry took my idea and transformed it to an over-the-top piece of art that exceeded any and all expectations I could have ever wished for. He spent many many hours on design work before we even started with the needle-- and ensured I was completely happy before the many, many hours it took to complete my half sleeve.

All could not have been accomplished if Terry- as a true artist- did not have deep pride in his work and a keen eye for attention to detail like he so clearly showed.

I'm so impressed that I will fly from Texas back to his shop for all future appointments.

Terry did my tattoo and he took the art I sent in and really made it more beautiful than I could have imagined! He's an artist the shop is incredibly clean. I wish he lived in California! Definitely recommend!

Custom Concepts is one of the best shops I have ever visited. Being a Military guy, I was cautious as to where I was going to go to get work done, but one name kept coming up in those conversations...Ta2 Terry. So I went and saw him, and now I will not let anyone else put a gun to me! My wife has had multiple items done, all 100% custom, and he fixed some butchered work on her wrist. Terry is the real deal! Very personable, approachable, and reasonable! I see the work he produces daily, and am still very impressed with his ability. He is former Army, therefore VERY military friendly! Terry's tattooing ability is unrivaled in the local area, and once again, he is the only person I trust to ink me up!

My friend and I took a one week trip to Fort Walton Beach and we decided that we wanted to get tattoos. I had been wanting one for a couple months since my dad passed in honor of him. We went in on Monday evening to schedule our appointments. The girl at the front desk, Mack, was the absolute sweetest! She got us scheduled for Wednesday evening with Mark and took notes of what we wanted and had us send inspiration photos to their email so they could draw something original. We came back on Wednesday and even with a longer than expected wait while our tattoo artist finished up the client before us, we felt so at ease with the service. Of course, you never want someone to rush through a tattoo! Mark stayed for our tattoos even though the shop was technically closed. He did a BEAUTIFUL black and gray daffodil tattoo on my inner arm. I wanted it to look realistic and he delivered! Mark was so easy going and kept us laughing and entertained during the whole appointment. My friend wasn’t sold on getting her tattoo that night so he told her to sleep on it and contact him in the morning and he would be willing to come in early before the shop opened. She woke up with a fresh mindset and contacted him to get it before we left. Mark is very talented and I would recommend him to anyone needing a tattoo in Destin! Make sure you make an appointment a few days ahead of time though! They’ve got him booked up for obvious reasons! Thanks CC for a great experience and a wonderful end to our relaxing vacation!

Love this shop. Terry Dutra has been my artist for a couple years now and is by far the best in the area, both in talent and customer service.

The shop is very friendly and laid back, and the other artists are all good people.

Hell, he even bought me pizza for both of my ~6 hour sessions. Can't ask for more than that!

Has an awesome experience from the moment I walked in the door. Mac was super helpful and extremely nice. Jay was our artist and did an amazing job. Me and several friends were visiting on vacation and all decided we wanted to get tattoos together while we were down there they were able to book us and fits in and all of us got very well done tattoos!

Chris is my artist and his talent and skill are truly unbelievable. He has been amazing on my cover up and half sleeve. A true custom master. Give him the idea and let him do his thing. Ive heard the other people are good and seen some of their work, but i wanted Chris's style. The owner Terry is a good dude as well. There are a ton of options in this area, but if you want a completely custom shop where you are not picking flash off the wall...defintely go here!

Having thought about it long and hard, I visited Custom Concepts while on vacation in Destin. I brought my design with me and booked an appointment with Chris. He worked with me to make sure it was exactly what I wanted, and he did an amazing job. This is my first and probably only tattoo, and I absolutely love it. I could not be more pleased. Thank you so much for turning a flat picture on a piece of paper into a beautiful work of art on my skin. I LOVE IT!
