Raventhorn Manor Tattoo

Just got back from my first (but certainly not last) visit to Raventhorn Manor. I had the pleasure of working with Kristen, whose personality and talent are just delightful. She talked through my design ideas with me, created a PERFECT stencil, and was just plain fun to hang out with. Her studio is a wonder for the eyes, and the whole building is very, very cool. Amanda at the front desk was also great: friendly, funny, and attentive. If I could give this place more stars, I definitely would. Thanks y’all!

I have loved my experience with Hans. I researched many artists in the area for many months before deciding to do a consultation with him for a cover up. He took time, drew on his ipad and on my skin and brought my vague idea to life.

As it was a large piece, I went for three long sessions and the time went by quickly. The studio is beautiful with a lot of character and the art in his studio creates a good atmosphere.

He not only did an amazing job, but really captured the essence of what I wanted, even though I struggled to put it into words.

Over 6 months later, it has healed beautifully and the colors are vibrant. You can't even tell which part is the cover up! I've already booked another tattoo with him to complement the first.

If you are looking for a truly unique experience and abstract piece, you won't be disappointed with Hans and Raventhorn.

(Also, in my clumsiness, I screwed up one of my appointments and scheduled the wrong day. I emailed the front desk and didn't have any issues getting it changed.)

I've been getting Tattoos from Kristen for about a year now and I don't know if I'll ever be able to go anywhere else. The few other tattoo experiences I've had in Utah left me feeling uncomfortable and nervous in general. Kristen has been professional, positive, cleanly, and above all talented. Would definitely recommend the parlor and Kristen specifically.

The artist I initially booked with had postponed my appointment, then had me come in a couple hours later the day of. When I came in, she was no where to be found and instead, a tattoo artist named Melanie offered to do my tattoo instead.

All I can say is, Melanie is an absolute ANGEL. She sat down and drew the design with me, listened to every concern, and incorporated every detail I wanted. Her studio was extremely clean and she’s constantly sanitizing everything as well!

Because she made getting my first tattoo so so awesome, I booked another one soon after with my sister for a bigger piece. Although we were supposed to get them done the same day, we ended up splitting the sessions into 2 days. Melanie was honest in saying it’d be better that way, as the first one ended up taking way longer than we thought, and she didn’t wanna push and end up with something she wasn’t proud of. I appreciated her more than anything for her total honesty in that moment.

To summarize, even though my initial tattoo artist didn’t leave the best impression, Melanie stepped up and I couldn’t have been more grateful that the universe sent me to her. All my tattoos have healed perfectly and they look amazing! I’ve recommended her to several people, and they’ve all been happy with their tattoos and their experiences as well. I’m so glad to say that I’ve now gone and booked a third session with her as well and couldn’t be more excited!

I was super excited to get some work done at this location after looking at all the artists portfolios and found the perfect person to do my tattoo. I sent in a request for a consultation and got it confirmed. All was well until the day of my appointment. I received a text message asking if the consultation we were supposed to have happen in person, could be changed over to a text consultation due to a crazy schedule that day. I was a little bothered since I had already up and prepared myself to drive almost an hour away but still was happy to get the consultation out of the way and get my tattoo booked. I responded and said that it’d be okay for a text consultation to happen. No response to that message. Then comes the time I was supposed to have my consultation. No text. No call, nothing at all. I texted about 5-10 minutes after asking if everything was alright and if possible we could wait until later. Like I said I just wanted to get this appointment out of the way. Again, no response. It’s now been 3 days and I still have not received any replies at all. I came to the reviews and saw a lot of positive reviews about the work but almost all the negative reviews were related to issues that I’m facing currently. I’m upset that I wasn’t able to even get past the first step of getting a tattoo with this business. I just wish the work the artists put into their work was as good as their care and reliability to even reach out to their clients, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case here.

Kristen did such an amazing job on my piece she was very accommodating helps make sure my car didn't get a ticket and made me feel so comfortable her art is amazing she blew me away! Will definitely be coming back for more!!

I just got my very first tattoo from Layne today! I had been looking around for an artist for a while, and when I saw her work I knew I wanted her to tattooo me. She was really great, and did a spectacular job! The staff was friendly, and the environment was really nice and clean. I would definitely get a tattoo from Layne again!

I’m about ⅓ the way through a full sleeve with Kristen and every time we work on it I am totally blown away!! First, let’s talk cleanliness: this place is spotless and I watched Kristen prep her space for me from the lobby (she didn’t know I was watching). This woman sanitized every surface in the place!! Even places I wouldn’t be touching or exposed to!

Second, her demeanor and attitude were wonderful. You could tell the only things she cared about were my comfort, satisfaction, and a great outcome.

Finally, my sleeve look freakin’ amazing. The details are so crisp and her interpretation of my ideas are spot on!!

In sum, Kristen is the only artist that will ink me from now on or until she hangs up her machine and rides into the sunset!!!

An amazing place, environment, and a best-in-class artist. What more could you want???
