Jake is an extremely talented artist who truly values is work. Before my consultation, I read a review on here that said, “he cares about your tattoo more than you do”. After my first session, I couldn’t agree more. If you’re looking for a quality tattoo and an overall great experience, Snafu Tattoo is the place to go.

An absolutely lovely experience. It was my first time getting a tattoo and they walked me through it with comfort and ease.. With how light handed Jake is it barely even hurt. The tattoo is exactly what I wanted and they cared about getting the details perfect, stressing out more than me! My experience was so awesome that I set up another appointment for my next tattoo. I can't stop recommending Snafu.

Jake is exceptional at his craft. His attention to detail is amazing. I looked for 2 years to find the right artist that can do realism tattoos well and needless to see I'm ecstatic with how my tattoo has come out. Definitely my go to guy going forward

After extensive research I chose to work with Snafu Tattoo Studio for a custom piece. My experience has been 5 stars. The quality of work that Jake is doing is insane. Lines are clean, shading silky smooth, and to say Jake is detail oriented would be a huge understatement. The Snafu family team (Jake, Liana, and "Bob") has gone the extra mile to bring my ideas to life - in black and grey. The shop is booked out, but when I'm there, I know that making sure I get a quality tattoo is the sole focus for the day. Snafu is a shop of integrity. Clean, comfortable, friendly, professional. If you’re in the market for a realism sleeve, then this is your place. I spent a lot of time deciding on the right artist. This shop and artist will shoot you straight with design and give you realistic expectations about timeline. If you want a 5K sleeve for 2K then you’re not ready for realism or a professional tattoo artist. While you’re investing financially, Jake is investing his time and creativity to bring your dream to life. Why would you rush that? This is hands down one of the best tattoo gems in the southeast. My suggestion is when you book, is to book as many as you can that are available for your sleeve. This shop has become so popular they’re almost 7 months booked out. This place is the real deal

Jake was extremely professional and very articulate with his work. I've had several tattoos from different locations across NC and this by far is the best shop in the state. I will be coming back for future tattoos and highly recommend this for anyone who is thinking of getting their first tattoo.

I totally agree with the positive reviews about Jake's attention to detail and cleanliness of the shop. Check out pictures of his work on Instagram and there is no questioning his artistic ability. While all of that is true, there are two things that really stood out to me with Jake and his shop. The first was his ability to take my idea and flesh it out in a way that perfectly captured the essence of it. He was able to understand the emotion and "vibe" that I was trying to convey when describing what I wanted. He took the time to get to know me a little bit and to really talk through what I wanted which is how he was able to absolutely nail the piece. The second thing that stood out is the aftercare. Jake took time to check in with me after the tattoo was done to see how it was healing and to make sure I was happy with it. That speaks volumes to his dedication to the craft.

I've had work done at other shops. SNAFU Tattoo and Jake are doing it differently and doing it better. Top notch work. Highly recommend.

SNAFU tattoo is the exception when looking for an artist who excels at creating a masterpiece and making the customer experience more than memorable. Jake is wicked talented and such a great guy, and Liana is a visionary...I look forward to my next session! Don't settle with another artist/studio and their ego.

Out of all the tattoo shops I've ever been to this is one of the best. Jake is a phenomenal artist who takes the time to get to know his clients and helps bring their vision of the tattoo to fruition. SNAFU Tattoo Studio is a very clean and welcoming shop. Jake did a truly amazing job covering up an old tattoo of mine that had been done poorly and was no longer wanted. He puts care into the design and work, resulting in extremely life-like and detailed tattoos. I couldn’t be happier with my new piece!
