A LOT of confusion over how much a piercing cost and one person would quote one price and then another person said another price. In the end, we wound up spending way more than we were originally quoted. However, other than that they were incredibly professional, the establishment was clean, and they did a great job piercing. I would highly recommend getting any quote for price in writing BEFORE you sit in the chair though.

I have gone to Altered Skin for multiple piercings and two tattoos. The atmosphere is always professional and friendly. Jay Arellano and Detail Dave are amazing artists. I get compliments on my tattoos all the time. I highly recommend Altered Skin. You will not be disappointed.

I have had nothing but positive experiences from this shop, the artist and piercers are most professional and willing to take the time to make sure they understand exactly what you want. I have gone to artist Jay for my tattoos and he has always taken my vision of what I wanted and made it come to life. I would recommend that anyone in the area looking to get work done go to Altered Skin it is in my opinion the best shop around.

I have lived in Missoula on and off for about 6 years and had the pleasure of trying all the tattoo shops in town, once I went to Altered Skin, I haven't gone anywhere else. each of the tattoos that I have gotten at altered skin have been with Jay, He does an outstanding job, takes ideas and makes them better, and was understanding when I had to reschedule, being that I have moved from town. I recently just got done with a back tattoo that was a total of 6 sessions totaling about 24hours of total tattoo time. Want a good tattoo go somewhere else, want a F**KING awesome tattoo go to altered skin and ask for jay!!!

Terrible customer service, receptionist is kind but the piercers are careless and rude. I've been here twice and both have been terrible jobs. Would not recommend.

The artists are great, very nice to talk to. My sister and I both had Angel as out artist. She is an apprentice but does great clean work. Highly recommended.

Altered Skin is very friendly and professional. Their practices are consistent and very sterile and I would and do recommend this establishment to everyone. I have had many tattoos and piercings done here and have NEVER had any issues. Stop in and meet everyone, they are cool peops!!!!

My girlfriend called and asked if they could fit her in for a piercing , and Brenda told her to come down whenever worked best for us. We got to the shop, which was clean and professional looking, and she talked my girlfriend through the process while helping her pick out jewelry. My girlfriend was indecisive about what kind of jewelry she wanted and Brenda was patient as well as knowledgeable while helping weigh out the various options. The piercing process was quick, and my girlfriend described it as her easiest piercing to date. We are from out of town so Brenda was sure to give us adequate contact information should any concerns or issues arise.
