Key City Tattoo

This was my first time going to see Liv for piercings, but she was so highly recommend by my friend that I knew I was going to be in good hands. Liv pierced my septum and her wonderful apprentice, Maeghan, pierced my cartilage, and they both turned out so good! Liv and Maeghan were clean, professional, kind, and created a very welcoming environment which eased my nerves. I will definitely be back to get pierced by them again!

I have been getting pierced by Liv for about 2 years now and always have the best experience with her. She creates a very comfortable atmosphere and I’m always satisfied with my piercings from her. Last night I got my ear pierced by her apprentice, Maeghan, and as always I am very pleased! Thanks again Liv and Maeghan 🙂

Key City is great. Nate Sprenkle did my tattoo and helped clean up a sketch of what I wanted. The shop is clean and organized. Elizabeth at the front desk was very helpful and nice, too.

Dave waugh did an amazing job on my tattoo cover up. He had a great vision and took his time and outcome was amazing! I’m super happy with my new tat. I’ll definitely be back to cover up more. The shops staff has always been friendly from day one. Really good at providing CDC Guidelines due to Covid. Very clean and professional you won’t be disappointed they have a very nice and clean and friendly shop. Prices are also reasonable. Come visit Key City Tattoo.

I love this shop!!! It's spacious, clean, and filled with actual talent; definitely the best tattoo shop in Frederick County (maybe even all of Maryland). My sister and I both have been tattooed by Gary Gerhardt and he's done the best tattoos I've ever seen! I'm so honored to get such beautiful art permanently placed on my body - dangerously cheesy, I know. I could go on and on but I'll let his work speak for itself (see pictures).

This is the second time I’ve used Liv for a piercing and it’s always a great experience. She’s super professional and I love how she consults with her clients to make sure they end up with the perfect piercing and jewelry. It’s a clean, comfortable atmosphere and I would highly recommend them!

I got my memorial tattoo for my loving dog that passed away. Gless did my tattoo. He had a horrible accident on his bike and still came in to work. He did a really good job on my tattoo. The feel and environment of when you first walk in was AMAZING.

They are very Covid aware and not once did any of the staff take off there masks. I saw the receptionist multiple times wipe down the counter tops and front desk area. They separate the used pens from the non used ones and even wipe down the pens after you sue them. The whole shop felt clean the floors was free of debris. They regulate who comes in don’t have but 3 people in at a time. To say the least it was a very clean tattoo shop. They also take your temperature taking all necessary precautions!

They made me feel so comfortable and made me feel really relaxed when I was there. I spoke to all the tattoo artist there and they were all above and beyond friendly.

The main important aspect of this review is how incredibly friendly and clean the shop was. I can’t stress how awesome these guys/gals were to me. They were awesome. The tattoo was clean and really detail oriented. Major thanks for Gless and his whole shop for taking care of me and hoping Gless has a speedy recovery I know he was in some pain when doing my tattoo.

I also want to say how relatable they were and incredibly sensitive they were to my situation. They were all so relatable and talked to me about my situation and made me feel great. This place is the place to go too. I’m sure there are other great tattoo
Shops out there but this one hit me personally on every level, and for that I will always go back to this shop and give them my business. Major shout out to this shop they really have done a superb job. Make sure you leave these guys a tip they deserve everything! Thanks guys and I’ll be coming in really soon and really do appreciate the awesome experience it was a memorable one that I will never forget!

Dave is a incredibly talented artist, overlaid my old tattoo and made it look better than the original. My big thing was to have the white in the American and Norwegian flag white, not just skin-colored white. Dave made this happen, and I am very pleased with the result.
I was impressed with the precautions they take here and it was very clean. I felt comfortable. The price was reasonable.

I had heard great things about Key Cit Tattoo from several friends who had work done there - especially in regards to their focus on the traditional American style of tattooing. After cyber-stalking the entire staff's Instagrams, I decided to schedule a time with Nate to do my old-school pin-up tattoo. Everyone was friendly and professional from the first emails and phone calls, to paying my deposit, to getting the actual tattoo. Nate is a consummate artist who took my rough sketch and idea and created artwork. The shop is clean, welcoming, and brightly lit. I was admittedly a little nervous at the estimated price tag, but the final results was worth every penny. I would heartily recommend both Nate and Key City Tattoo.
