Heroic Ink Tattoo & Piercing

Artist was very professional and created an amazing water color tattoo. Great service start to finish and the tattoo is healing well with no complications. The tattoo needles used are Rhine needles, which seem to be a trustworthy brand. Would recommend!

In an industry that seems to pride itself on being surly and uninviting, this place is an exception. The staff is welcoming and inviting. They seem happy to be doing what they're doing, and it translates into a high level of service and quality.
I highly recommend waiting as long as it takes to use Heroic for your tattoo/piercing.

This was my first experience getting a tattoo. I am over the moon with my experience from scheduling, checking in, and getting the tattoo. PARKER was incredible! Got my septum done. It hung a little crooked but I brushed it off. I got my ears reopened and a conch piercing at a different piercing parlor down in Des Moines and asked them to look at the septum piercing. It’s crooked (both going back into the nose and going up and down) and Heroic used externally threaded jewelry in a fresh piercing, which I did not realize before I’d gotten the piercing. Any reputable piercer or even a basic Google search will tell you not to use externally threaded jewelry in a fresh piercing. Save your time and get your piercing somewhere else.

Caity is an absolutely amazing tattoo artist! She did a vine of roses up my forearm and I couldn’t be happier with it. The shading she did on the roses is seriously phenomenal. She is also hilarious and I loved spending four hours of my afternoon with her. I think I laughed almost the entire appointment! The rest of the staff is also very friendly and cool. Great experience, I would highly recommend!

LOVED IT! I just got my first tattoo yesterday and I couldn’t be more happy with it :) James who was the artist that did it was super cool and nice. He put up with me asking a lot of questions and being kinda nervous (it wasn’t as bad I thought..), the price was fair even though what I got was simple. I know that I want another tattoo soon and I will definitely go back to heroic ink! Thanks a ton!

Got my first tattoo here and already have my 2nd scheduled. James is a great artist and was fun to hang out with him while he worked on my piece. The staff are friendly and did a nice job making the space COVID friendly. I felt very comfortable while there.

I just got a tattoo from here yesterday and it turned out GREAT!! I am absolutely in love with it! The environment is super professional and everyone is nice. James did my tattoo and it was a whole forearm piece that took just an hour. The whole time, he made conversation and cracked jokes. It helped me to relax because it was my first tattoo. The prices are low as well, which is awesome because of how great the quality of the tattoos are. Definitely going to make this the place I go for my future tattoos!!

Emily is fantastic! Took just under 2 hours total including her sketching it out. She was super friendly and we talked the whole time. I love my tattoo!!! The shop was re really clean and set up nicely as well. Thank you, Emily!
