So fred was my husbands artist.The work is good but he ran him around and drained us of our money. That was not professional, especially when my husband paid outright for what he wanted. He would give his word saying there was nothing owed and then charge him more when he was in his chair after the tattoo was finished. Multiple sessions were due to fred not being able to sit through and finish when he said it was only going to take about 2 sessions for his whole piece. If you get anything done by him make sure its all finished that day and do not let him set anything out to finish it unless it is put on paper. That is highly unprofessional to give someone your word and then go back on it or to not have anything written down on paper so it's legit. When confronted about the run around on prices and what was owed, fred said there was "nothing he could do about it". * this has been edited due to the shop not liking the original comment. Guess professionalism isn't their strong suit. Sorry to the other artists this is directed towards FRED.

Just went there for the first time. Got my tongue pierced by Mike. I was nervous because of previous tongue piercings going wrong but he was WONDERFUL , made me very comfortable and it didnt hurt at all. Will never go to another piercer again! Highly recommend!

Went in for a jewelry change and was happy with the results. Will be going back in the future for more piercings. Would have given a 5 star but after walking in the door I stood at the front counter for 10 mins before I was asked if I had been helped yet.

I've had two experiences here the first one was great no problems tattoo came out amazing and the shop is really nice and clean but the artist who tattooed me disappointed me. Second time going back to her she did a tattoo on my boyfriend and I and the work was so sloppy, so many places she missed and the amount of ink that fell out of our tattoos was ridiculous certain letters and numbers are halfway gone, also felt like she was rushing. Very disappointed.

I love Self Made! I've gotten 3 tattoos here. Two by Fred and one by Ashley. They're all absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier with them. The shop is clean and professional. I'll be going to Self Made as long as I live in the Springs!
