Went to Tamding at Dark Star and could not be more pleased with the results on this Fauno tattoo. The shop was very clean. Tamding was professional, extremely nice, had good taste in music and was FAST! I have never experienced such a short session and incredible results. Tamding is really talented, I want him to do all of my future tattoos! (Already have future appointments scheduled) Visit Dark Star, you will not be disappointed!
Edit: Just had Medusa done by Tamding and she's perfect! My husband will have his second session of a leg/knee coverup done in just a couple days and I will share that too, but trust it is already incredible. Some of the best work either of us has ever gotten!

Cool shop, friendly people. I asked for something simple, and "mo" delivered. My wife and i got hand poked tats with incredible line work! They have great artists for machine work as well, but if you like hand poked, Go see Mo!

So. I am 45 years old and just got my first tattoo. I was scared and apprehensive but have thought about getting a tattoo for years.
It was recommended that I go to Dark Star and when I walked in I meet the most wonderful tattoo artists that put my nerves at ease. She took my sketch and made it look beautiful but most of all did a wonderful job of interpreting what I wanted.
On the day of tattooing she was quick, and understanding. We finished in no time. it wasn't that bad. I did learn I am more of a whip than I thought. lol
I have showed some people my tat and they all said that she did a Great job.

Sumer is an terrific tattooer, but even harder to find, an amazing artist!! I have been going to her for twenty years and with zero artistic ability she is somehow always able to put together exactly the piece for me. I'll never go anywhere else, she's the best!

I really liked DST they were willing to give me a walk in custom tattoo. Upon finding a few flaws they were eager to acknowledge the discrepancy. More than willing to fix it and make sure I went away having had a good experience. I will be back for more and look forward to meeting more of the Craftsmen and Women that work here.

This place is great! I have been planning my tattoo for a while now but needed a good artist to bring it together (haven't particularly liked my past artists). Sumer was fantastic. I basically gave her a jumbled mess of pinterest ideas and my passports and she created something unique and fantastic! She let me edit her piece but gave great suggestions. I generally let the artist make the decisions and I am happy I did with her!
My tattoo ended up taking three sessions which cost a bit more than the original quote, but I agreed to all the additions and reasons for it to take longer, so I do not blame her.
I did have some issues with my tattoo healing, which I blame on my own skin freaking out. Sumer was great helping me deal with it and corrected all fall out for free.
The shop itself is a fun, yet professional environment. They played great music and have great art on the walls to stare at during long sessions. I would suggest this shop, and especially Sumer, to anyone!
