Dark star tattoo and Keaton specifically have given me such great experiences each time I stop in. I appreciate the ambiance that dark star offers. And I must say that Keaton is SUCH a personable, kind, fun guy to get a tattoo from. His attention to detail and his ideas are incredible. I came in not knowing where I should get one of my tattoos on my body and he offered an idea that I genuinely hadn’t thought of. And I went with it!! He’s a genuinely GREAT artist and guy!! 10/10!

Carrie was awesome, patient and assuring when my niece, sister and I went in for a cursive letter tattoo. It was my niece and sister's first tattoo and she did a great job at explaining the process and assuring them. The tattoos turned out beautifully. Very pleased with the experience and outcome. Stellar artist and person.

Dark star tattoo is a phenomenal place for a tattoo it is right next to skyzone so it was easy for my wife to distract my kiddo while I got my tattoo. The building itself was easy to get too and quite welcoming and definitely clean and organized which was a good start. I did my research and found my artist, Nick-Em, who specializes in the black and gray type and animals which is what I wanted. After looking at the rest of his work; it was obvious he has a natural gift to create and accurately portray any animal. I had a Narwhal tattoo, and the best part of NickEm was how he was able to capture the very essence of the animal. We created the tattoo together and he flawlessly captured every aspect of Narwhals, their "horn" (actually a tooth) is accurately portrayed, the angles were on point, and nothing was out of proportion. I was blown away that my favorite animal and all its glory is now a part of me forever. This was my first tattoo but certainly not my last. NickEm is an incredible artist and I truly appreciate his input on creating my design, his attention to detail, the way he is able to balance his focus between professional tattoo artist to breaking the ice to a newbie like myself, and making sure that his person at that time is taken care of. Every aspect of the experience was everything I could expect. I only wish I had more stars to give NickEM specifically, but I guess his place of employment will have to do.

Do not get piercings from Nick, I am sure that the tattoo artists here are awesome but thisn't about them. I waited over an hour, did no paper work, got no run down on the piercing, and he butchered the placement, it was so painful driving home I had to have another piercer remove it. Disappointing beyond measure, I paid 60 bucks to feel physically ill.

I went here for the first time in June of 2013 and I was tattooed by West. Not only is he an awesome tattoo artist, but he was also awesome to talk to! In addition, the prices of the tattoos were very reasonable, and he was also pretty quick! West also works at Body Piercing Unlimited (C Street location) in Anchorage, Alaska sometimes, so he won't always be here. Anyway, I definitely recommend this place if you're in the area! The other tattoo artists there also seem to be very nice.

Went in to for a scheduled appointment with Nickem and was blown away. This artist was able to meet all our wants and needs in the tattoo. Drew everything for us right there and was able to make small adjustments to fit in different places. Nickem was professional and experienced from the very beginning. Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a new artist. I know he had my business. 🔥🔥🔥

Wasn't too keen to me taking photos inside so sorry guys 😒. But seems friendly enough. Warm atmosphere. They had plenty of accessories so that was a plus (piercing goods). I might of had a better time if I was a white guy though. 🤔
