Paul is incredible and everyone else is really chill, too, I just haven’t talked to them.
I’ve had some problems (user error) with piercings and gone to him for help and he has fixed me all up. Very reasonable prices as well.

Super chill atmosphere. Esther is really nice. Got a small piece and I get so many compliments on it. She specializes in cartoons/anime art. Definitely go to her for that!

Chago did an AMAZING job on my tattoo, I was able to get in super fast, and him and his apprentice (Sarah) were both SO kind! For sure the best tattoo experience by far and I recommend him to everyone. He is crazy talented!

I was just a bit tense about the procedure and was made totally at ease with the professional way I was "walked through" the nose piercing. The cleanliness of the shop, the calm atmosphere and the energy of the owners turned out to be very reassuring . My nose has healed great and I am enjoying the "New Look" THANKS!!

Paul skillfully removed stitches from a tongue split I had done. His knowledge and confidence put me at ease since I hadn’t known where else to go in town to have them taken out. I’ve recommended this business in the past to friends and they’ve also come to be pierced! Clean, friendly, and professional👍

We took our daughter to get her ears pierced for her 6th birthday. Chance was awesome! Very friendly and made the experience very comfortable and stress free. Excellent cleanliness as well.

Please everyone read this post!! I want to let everyone know about the negative experience I had at Citrine piercing and tattoo shop!! I got my nose pierced on Tuesday, which made my boyfriend want to get his ears pierced. Personally we love Old School tattoo (also in downtown Bellingham) that’s where he got his first tattoo. Unfortunately the piercer at Old School tattoo broke his ankle and wasn’t at work the past week. So we looked into going to Citrine. I called on Wednesday and asked about their pricing for ear lobe piercings in which I was told $45 to get his ears pierced. I was okay with the pricing because it was the same price as it would’ve been if we went to Old School. The next day we go to Citrine to get his ears pierced, the guy at the front shows us our choice for earrings, we pick a pair, I ask if we can pay first because I want to know the total, and I get told that we need to pay after. So he gets his ears pierced, we go to pay and get told that our total is $130. I was very frustrated for many reasons.
1. I only brought $100 because I was told it would be $45 the day before when I called.
2. We didn’t have enough money which meant we had to pull money out of their atm (which of course charged us)
3. I asked if I could pay first and I was told “no you pay after” and if I would’ve known how much they were planning on charging us in the beginning when I asked, we would have left and went somewhere else.

So we pay, with no money left, which also meant that our lunch date we were planning on got canceled 😕 and I leave feeling really upset.
I sat on it for the night and decided to call and speak to the manager the next day. I explained to him my frustration with our experience and his response was “our prices are fair and that you should ask more about pricing next time.” I didn’t get a refund, I didnt store credit, and at the very least I didn’t even get an apology.
We spent an extra $90 I wasn’t expecting to spend after I call the day before, was told a price, only to get completely ripped off the next day.
Of course he waited to tell me the total until after my boyfriends ears were pierced.
In this situation I don’t know what I could have done different and I’m more frustrated that I shared my experience with the manager only to be told that “I should’ve looked into their prices more” as if calling and asking to pay first isn’t enough.
Ive never written a review in my life, but you bet I’m posting my horrible experience at Citrine anywhere and everywhere I can.
I highly recommend not going to Citrine!!!

Not the best customer service and you get the vibe that you’re not welcome because the three men just sit at the front and talk amongst each other rather than acknowledging you. I also don’t understand why the receptionist tells you about your piercing rather than the ACTUAL piercer.

I have been to laughing Buddha in Seattle and they told me when I move to Bellingham to go see Paul I have never been to any other piercing shops but laughing Buddha I went to the one in Seattle and I'm definitely going to continue going to the one in Bellingham Not only was Paul professional he was also very helpful and very professional about how he told me to take care of my septum it's a year later and I'm going to get my philtrum done by him for my birthday. If I could give 10 Stars I would I definitely recommend this place.
