The shop is amazing, everyone is friendly, inclusive and so open. The artwork that is produced by this shop is incredible. I'm 7 hours in and will post my piece when it's done.
I've been to many tattoo places and sometimes they made me feel unwelcome or had a certain 'cool' attitude that made tge shop 'uncool'. Get your piece here, you won't regret it.

I got a tattoo with Holly a little over a week ago and I could not have asked for a better experience. She gave me a time estimate of how long the piece was going to take prior to my appointment and she ended up doing my tattoo in less than half the time that she had estimated, and charged me fairly for what she did; not to mention, did a phenomenal job. Holly is great at what she does and was a delight to be around. It felt like I was goofing off with a friend as opposed to getting a tattoo from a stranger. The shop was lighthearted and easy going and I was very satisfied with the organization of everything in regards to customer service. Black Rabbit is high energy and bustling, but not chaotic; unlike many other tattoo shops. More often than not, I’ve felt uncomfortable in tattoo shops where you’re subliminally made to feel out of place or unwelcome by the staff or other guests; especially for those of us who are still getting our first few tattoos and have questions. I was greeted kindly and treated with respect and I felt at home while I was at Black Rabbit. I highly recommend Holly and Black Rabbit in general, for anyone who wants a quality tattoo in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.

The artists at Black Rabbit are insanely talented, and I've always had a great time here. My boyfriend and I started coming here for tattoos a couple years ago. We're located in Baltimore but the drive is worth it for the beautiful art that lasts the rest of your life!

Everyone here is very friendly, knowledgeable, and an expert in their field. I'd highly recommend checking out their Instagram accounts to see each artist's work - however, all of them do incredible work and you can't go wrong no matter who you get a tattoo from. Highly, highly recommend!!

This is my favorite tattoo shop in Richmond. 4 out of 6 of my tattoos have come from this shop. Jelena has done 3 of them. I love her. She is very gentle for what it is. Always clean and make sure to clean up after each person, even when getting matching tattoos they bring you back to waiting area to clean for the nect person so each person gets the same experience of a clean area. They usually have walk ins but just call first.

Had a great experience with Jelena!! I did a walk-in on the weekend and left completely happy with the end result!! It took about 1-1/2 hours to the entire tattoo and I didn't feel like anything was rushed or any corners were cut in the process. Will come back again!

Stopped in to take a look at some of the portfolios because my spouse had gotten some work done there.
I was highly impressed with the quality of work that is coming out of that shop, not only is the art exquisite but the facilities are kept impeccably clean and well kept. One artist, Rosemary, had some amazing animal work that I am considering for a future mural across my chest.

I have been to Black Rabbit twice! All of the women here are extremely talented and are willing to help you customize any piece that you come to them with. I had a particular design in mind and Rosemary was the one who brought it to life!
