Five stars, hands down. Two of my three daughters got their first tattoos here and today I got my second. I've been completely impressed with the work, the staff and the process. Rob was awesome with my daughter and did amazing work for both she and I. My second tattoo was intricate and unique. He did an incredible job of brining my art to life. He did the same for my daughter who had a unique piece as well.
The entire staff makes the process feel cool and is quick to stop by one another's work to share their enthusiasm. The place has a great vibe and I watched each artist go out of their way to make everyone comfortable.
You do have to make an appointment well in advance, but it's worth the wait. Their pricing was incredibly fair and they even came in under the original quote.
I have friends who have horrible experiences with most of the other local tattoo shops, but no one has ever had a bad experience at Jack Brown.
The process is very transparent and the process sterile and clean. I had an eye out for safe practices and I think the staff went above and beyond.
If you're going to get a tattoo, this is the place to do it.

Most fantasic tattoo studio in Virginia! The artists is extremely friendly and welcoming. I requested for Dustin to do a piece on my arm and I was MORE than happy with what he created. I recommend anyone who wants an epic piece done, this is definitely the place to go. Don't let their prices be a deterrent because you'll get the quality you're looking for, respect from the artist (some artist I've come across at other studios don't make any attempt to make you feel welcome) and you'll get a lot more attention for the beautiful detail and work these guys do! Keep up the excellent work Jack Brown's staff! Double thumbs up!

Fit me in on a busy charity weekend (Thanks Kenny!), with a great artist (Thanks Tom!) And nailed the tattoo. The shop is super clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and overall it was a super pleasant experience. Super happy with my new art, and will be recommending it to everyone who's looking for some solid tattoo work. Will certainly be coming back here in the future.

I got tattooed a year ago at Jack's Brown's by Ike (I have been meaning to leave this review for a while!). It was a wonderful experience. Ike was professional, easy to communicate with, and did a fantastic job. This was my first tattoo and I was immediately at ease working with Ike. I still absolutely love my tattoo. It healed beautifully and it looks just as good a year later as it did on the day I got it. Highly recommend Jack Brown's and specifically Ike Shaver!
