Faces in the Dark Tattoo

I got my tattoo yesterday from Tye at Faces In The Dark Tattoo and I have zero complaints. The staff is super cool and friendly and make you feel like you are welcome. Tye did an amazing job on my tattoo and is a fun guy to hang out with during the process. The other artists in the shop would conversate and make you feel at home as well. The shop is kept very clean and sanitary. They have great music playing and tv shows on the walls to help keep your mind off the pain if you so choose. They offer soda and water to drink and have a comfortable lounge area to sit in. After getting my tattoo here, I can't imagine getting one anywhere else. I highly recommend these guys, check them out!

This shop is awesome! Everyone working there makes you feel comfortable, regardless if they’re your artists or not. I had 3 sessions for a half sleeve from Dylan Jonez and he was great! He’s so passionate and you can see that through his work. He listens and works with you to come up with the perfect piece of art. Even if you don’t know exactly what you want, these guys are so talented that they will surely come up with something rad.

My experience here with Mike Flores was incredible. I've been in more than enough shops that we're uninviting and that didn't seem clean or welcoming, and this shop was the opposite. It was friendly, clean and everyone seemed happy to see the clients. He took some time to draw up some black line work flowers and seemed excited to work on them and even when I decided to change something slightly last minute. It's been a year and I still love the tattoos.

I’ve never before had a tattooing experience quite like the one I had at Faces In The Dark.
My personal experience with other tattoo artists at different shops has always been fairly negative. They’re overly cocky, discourteous of their client’s time (showing up late or not at all), and usually making their client feel like them tattooing you is more of a chore than a passion for them. My experience yesterday was nothing at all like that. The shop in itself was amazing, and all of the artists and employees were attentive, polite and looked like they genuinely cared about their clients and the art they were creating for them. Upon first walking in the door of the shop, I got the vibe that the artists working there were there because they wanted to be, not because they were obligated to. My artist, Joe Melin, greeted me as soon as I was done completing my paperwork, and was ready to get started on drawing up my tattoo right away. He took the time to ensure that the piece was exactly what i wanted, and took extra special care to make certain it was perfectly sized and placed to compliment my other existing tattoos. He was extremely courteous and helpful, respectful of me and my time, and made genuine conversation with me during the process so that I actually felt welcome in the studio, not like I was an inconvenience in someone’s day like I have felt at other shops.
He also made sure to explain everything he was doing so that i could be comfortable knowing exactly what to expect.
My tattoo turned out SO beautifully. It’s even better than i imagined it would be. The quality of Joe’s work is impeccable and his creative talent truly speaks for itself. I am head over heels in love with my new ink. It’s so perfect, I can’t stop staring at it!

Aaron is the best! I love my newest tattoo. He took the time to get the size and placement just right. Jose was so cool while I waited for my friend to get her first-ever tattoo done. Super safe environment, too!

This unassuming tattoo parlor doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is a supportive and fun atmosphere. I got my first tattoo from Joe. He made me feel comfortable and welcome and he does amazing work.

This was my first tattoo and I can guarantee, because of the great experience I had, it won't be my last with Joe. I cannot thank him enough for giving me exactly what I wanted. This is a clean, professional shop that makes you feel welcome and the whole staff was fun and seemed like they enjoy their work. I will be going back and I recommend you do too.

I recently got a tattoo after receiving recommendations from several friends that went to artists at this location. Joe drew feathers for me based on some pictures I gave him and he was wonderful! He's a very nice, funny, and talented guy that will give you the image you're hoping for. I was very satisfied with my experience and will be recommending them to everyone I know.

This shop was very professional beyond words! From the moment you walk in you feel extremely welcomed and are immediately taken care of! The process they have at the shop from your 1st email, to your consultation to actually getting your tattoo is very top notch and is such a breeze and very stress free. Very clean and classy shop! The staff and the atmosphere definitely make you want to go back for sure!

Joe Melin may not be the first name that comes to mind when you think of Faces in the Dark, but it should be. From the moment I walked in Joe was courteous, knowledgeable and listened to what exactly I wanted. I was amazed that his first design was exactly what I wanted. I can't tell you how much I love my tattoo. This was a cover up which completely got rid of my previous mistake and is something I am proud to have as a permanent art piece. I had never before sat for seven hours, but Joe talked me through it and was generous enough with his time to stay an extra two hours after closing, so that I got a beautiful art piece. I highly recommend Joe, and Thank you so much for all your time, your professionalism and for my beautiful tattoo!!
