Studio Lumos Tattoo

i’ve gotten all my tattoos so far from here and i love them! i’ve gotten ones from both Xandria and David and they’re both so talented and nice. the studio itself is beautiful and i love looking at all the crystals🥰

Got my very first tattoo here and I’m absolutely in love! Samantha doesn't fail to give you what you want and make the experience as comfortable as possible! She was super patient and calm through the whole process. I’m definitely going to get more work done by her, and highly recommend her!

It is no doubt that the tattoo artists are doing an amazing job here but I wish they could be more accurate on their estimated cost and time, so that we would not feel like getting ripped off. My friend and I had 3 tattoos total at this studio with 3 different artists, both of us had the similar experience with their inaccurate estimates.

A while ago I got a horse tattoo from Alice, before the appointment, we texted via Instagram and talked about all the details. Then Alice told me that my tattoo appointment would take about 1.5 hour to be done, her rate was $180/hour. Alice was willing to charge me less than $270 for the piece because she always wanted to do a horse but never got a chance, and I was pretty broke at the time. At the appointment, it turned out that Alice finished the whole piece in 30 minutes, but she still asked for 1.5 hour of cost. I only had $250 with me so I paid $250 to Alice. However, I think it would be reasonable if Alice would only charge me for $180 , but since I really liked the work so I paid without questioning.

Not long ago, my friend had an appointment with David, before the appointment, David told my friend that my friend’s tattoo would take 3.5 hours, David’s rate was $140/hour. At the appointment, David finished tattooing in 2.5 hours but he still charged my friend for 3.5 hours of the cost. However, my friend was ok with it, for the same reason as me because my friend really liked the work and she thought David did a great job, so my friend paid David $400.

Very recently the same friend got another tattoo from the owner Samantha. She told my friend that the appointment would take 4hr to be done, Samantha’s rate was $180/hour. This time, my friend’s tattoo only took 2.5 hours for Samantha to finish but she asked $800 from my friend.

However, from two of us’s experiences with Lumos Studio, we think it is true that the artists are professional on the art aspect, though I think customers would really appreciate if they could give more accurate estimates in the future. Especially customers like us, who are students and making minimal wage, it takes us a long time to save up and get tattoos on us.

Daniel, took his time to create the amazing butterfly wings for my daughter first tattoo and mine. He made the whole atmosphere really relaxed made her feel comfortable with the whole process. Thank you for your amazing work!

I got a tattoo done by Sam and I had given her some inspo photos and told her to do what she would like with it. And she blew it out of the park! I love my Thestral so much and it's so beautiful. Sam was super professional and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I will definitely be back for another tattoo in the future. Thank you!!

I've gotten 2 tattoos from Daniel. I loved the atmosphere and how clean it felt. I love both of my tattoos so much, the shading is gorgeous!

Beautiful space, wonderful artists, 100% recommend. I’ve seen Alice twice and she is amazing. My newest tattoo gets so many compliments on the amount of detail she puts into her work!

I can't recommend the Artist Daniel enough! He had such a light hand it didn't hurt at all (until the color lol). The studio was a vibe as well 🙂 I won't be going anywhere else! It was 1000% worth the 4.5 hour drive. It's been a year and the half sleeve still looks bomb!

Samantha....where do I even begin?
One of the most all around talented women I have ever met.
She is the most amazing tattoo artist around. Sam will genuinely listen to your vision, go the extra mile to master it, and will bring your vision to life.
This girl has a god given talent for her craft, and she is doing what she is designed to be doing in her lifetime.

I had such a wonderful experience at Studio Lumos with both Samantha and Alice! The shop is so light and cute with the lighting and all of the plants. Everything was super smooth and easy! Both artists made sure I was okay during both sessions and that I loved everything about the pieces. I will definitely be back!
