I loved the relaxing environment. Everyone there makes you feel so welcome. The feel of the place is so grounding which amazing for people who get anxiety about getting a tattoo. Thank you for the great experience! I'll definitely be returning!

I'm hoping my experience is a singular event but this has been my experience....
I received a $200 gift certificate for this shop for Christmas. I was excited to get a tattoo to commemorate my children. I made an appointment for the phone consultation and felt very listened to and understood. It was great! Then, it went downhill from there.
I had issues sending over my $100 deposit via venmo, for some unknown reason, then it finally went through via PayPal. My appointment was for 2/7/21 at 1:30pm. I have four children, and the tattoo was to be symbolic for them, and my babysitter cancelled on me the morning of my appointment. I texted the shop at 8:51am that morning and stated my sitter had cancelled and was doing what I could to find a back up. Then, I called at 9:57am and left a voicemail letting them know I still hadn't found a replacement sitter and would need to reschedule. My artist (David) called me at 1:31pm asking where I was. Well, reception never gave my artist the message and put me down as a "No show", and I lost my $100 deposit. David said he would call me back in a week, or two, to make a new appointment.
So, two weeks go by and I don't hear from anyone. I text the shop on 3/10/21 to reschedule and never got a reply. Then I texted again on 3/16/21 asking why no one had contacted me. The next day, 3/17/21, and I was told they hadn't heard from me since 2/7/21 and that they have a cancelation policy and to reschedule an appointment I would need to make another phone consultation and then pay 50% of the projected tattoo price to reserve an appointment. I reminded them that I left a voicemail to reschedule and the receptionist asked if she could call me. So, she did and I gave her as much information as possible and let her know that more than half of my tattoo was paid for already with the $100 deposit + the $200 gift certificate. She said Samantha had been helping her answer my questions via text and that she would have Samantha contact me by the end of the day (because she and David were in Hawaii).
It is now 3/28/21 and I hadn't heard from Samantha so, I texted the shop, again. The person responding to the text messages said I must've been talking to Samantha (when I've never spoken to Samantha via text) and that she'd have her get in touch with me. So, I reminded the person that Samantha and David had been in Hawaii so I believe I was talking to someone named Jenna, and that my question should be able to be answered by anyone in the shop. Then, the person asked if I wanted to transfer my gift certificate between artists or dates and I let them know I wanted to gift it, or sell it, to someone else because I'm tired of dealing with the lack of communication between reception, artist, and clients. Now, I haven't heard back for about an hour and I'm annoyed. So, I'm writing this review.
Again, I hope this is an isolated issue and that it actually gets resolved. Until then, I'm not impressed and am still not planning on getting tattooed at this shop. Once I verify of the gift certificate is transferable between clients, and you would like a $200 gift certificate for $160, feel free to contact me.

The Gift Certificate is transferable. So, if you're interested, get in touch. They're still blaming me for losing my $100 deposit, despite leaving a voicemail to reschedule. Not impressed.
