Riot Ink - Custom Tattoos

Just spent my third full day at Riot within the last few months with another on the books for March and I don’t want to go anywhere else. The vibes are great, anyone I’ve come into contact with has been beyond friendly and welcoming. They have such a good group of artists that cover pretty much anything you could think of, and better then most of the artists I’ve been following in the Columbus area. I’m a handful and make everyone be my best friend and if Ive driven these people crazy, they didn’t let me know it - and honestly I’ve just had a really good time in their shop. They’re definitely the kind of people that want to work with you and create with you, but also be honest about what will and won’t work and how to incorporate what you want with what will actually turn out well. They’re great with their communication about everything from scheduling, parking, to giving all the info on aftercare. Definitely check out their Instagram and their highlight reels of each of them and you’ll see that this place goes with quality people.

Personal experience:
I’ve now worked with Jerome (eviljroe on insta) and Ryan (romito_ink614 on insta). Jerome is newer to the shop so his books are more open-anyone looking for darker themed/horror/realism/black and grey should definitely get in with him ASAP before it gets hard to get in with him which I’m sure will take no time at all. He did a black/grey realism piece of a lady with her hands around her face, and octopus tentacles around her neck. The detail is insane and I’ve had people stop to compliment how great it is since I walked out of the shop. I’ve got future ideas I know he’ll execute perfectly and will def be back to see him.

Ryan is booked back a little bit but definitely worth the wait. While he doesn’t usually do re-works, I was lucky enough to have him consider reworking an existing shoulder tattoo and incorporate/turn it into a sleeve of florals. The shading, dot work, and line work is amazing. We’re still working on it, but what he’s done so far is beautiful and I can’t wait to finish this project and work on future ones I ran by him while we got started!

First time ever getting a tattoo, my appointment was with Matt! Couldn’t ask for a better artist! He talked me through everything he did, explained everything, and kept me talking so I wouldn’t be so nervous! Thanks to all the staff! I would definitely recommend! Just ask for Matt!

I’ve had 3 tattoos done now at Riot Ink and I can honestly say I will not go anywhere else. Every artist has something unique to bring to the table to make your vision come to life. Yesterday I sat for a silhouette tattoo with Chris. His patience in creating excellent lines and assuring the black ink was filled in perfectly is outstanding. I never could have envisioned this tattoo looking so good and I can’t wait to finish it in a few weeks.
Scott did excellent work in August 2021 for my ring tattoo. He made such an perfect design with just the right amount of floral focused around the letter “L.” I love it and show it off whenever I can.
Nathan did my first tattoo in 2019 and it involved tie dye in the bolt of a Grateful Dead stealie and I’ve never seen such beautiful work done. The details are all perfect.
The shop is beautiful. Everyone is super friendly. You absolutely must visit Riot Ink for your tattoo needs.

Ryan did a fantastic job! I came in with a tattoo idea and he worked with me through the design. He recognized that some aspects of my idea could be improved and would make a better tattoo if they were changed. I am glad he suggested those changes- it looks much better than it would have otherwise! Ryan was informative, a cool guy to talk to, and most importantly gave me an awesome tattoo! The shop itself was clean, the artists were chill, and it was a great experience 🤙

Had an absolutely amazing experience with Ryan at Riot Ink! This was my first tattoo and he made me feel so comfortable, explained the whole process and was just awesome!

Ryan did a phenomenal job with my tattoo I went in with a picture that was not that good but he worked on it to make it amazing. I couldn’t ask for anything better. I will definitely be going back in the future for my next tattoo!

I visited the downtown location and let me say this, the decor and design aesthetic was so beautiful and regal. I loved the feel and ambiance that is created, music was lovely also. The artists were all so friendly and kind. My artist Nathan who is also the owner did an outstanding job per usual and I will most definitely be back.

I had a great experience here! A friend from work recommended Riot Ink as I was looking to get a simple word art tattoo, but of course wanted to go somewhere reputable. Ryan did my tattoo, and I love it! He took his time and made sure the placement was right and they were able to get me in within the week. Will definitely be back when I'm ready for another tattoo, and if you are looking for a tattoo shop this is definitely worth the drive!

Peter was great! Light handed so didn't hurt at all. Very professional!
