RUN! ANY OTHER SHOP WOULD BE A BETTER FIT
I went to alley cat joes to get my smiley piercing done. The piercer took forever and pushed the needle through extremely crooked. They put a seamless nose ring in my MOUTH and when I finally got the correct jewelry, it fell out while I was eating because of how crooked, and small they pierced it. I will say every tattoo I’ve seen them do has been amazing and joe and his wife were both very personable and I loved the experience otherwise. But as far as piercings go I would recommend a different place as I now have a damaged frenulum and I’m not sure if I can ever get it re-pierced. If you go, don’t expect to leave with a piercing that won’t get infected or rip out because it was done incorrectly:(

Excellent!! Great artist! I brought in what I wanted and Joe made my idea even better to fit where I wanted it. The end result is gorgeous and I am so happy. Great atmosphere and his wife is just as awesome. They make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. I will not be going to anyone else for tattoos! Thank you!!!

I love how they treat you like family and they make sure you get exactly what you want. Never seen an artist that cared more about his customers than anything else. He gave me and my husband exactly what we wanted and they look perfect. Definitely going back in a few weeks for more. If you want a tattoo artist that cares about your views and treats you like family then Alley Cat Joe's is the place for you.

I had an excellent experience here. I walked in, with no appointment, a few minutes after they opened and was helped immediately. The shop is super clean and welcoming. No judgement, no attitude, just art. Ricky was able to take my idea and rough sketch into exactly what I was imagining in my head. I absolutely love it and hope to add to it the next time I'm in Holden Beach.

The Owner Is a really good guy, the atmosphere is one of the best shops I’ve ever been in, and his attention to detail and handwork is the best. Those are a few things I’m very picky about but this place has them all. He had an open spot for me to come in and he set me right up , I told him everything I wanted, and all the little details that would make my tattoo different from everyone else’s and he did it. This is the only shop Id ever go to again. A very clean and reliable place to get some of the best work that is ever offered!

What an awesome place! We walked in with six adults and a couple yougin's right after Joe opened on a Saturday, so we sort of bombarded them...our wives wanted three small waves and Joe was kind enough to fit them in before his first appointment came. Joe, along with his family was so kind and personable to all of us. Highly recommend his place and I hope to return and get a tattoo from him myself someday.

The store was clean and everyone was super friendly. Chris was doing my navel piercing and was so sweet. I ended up passing out, by fault of my own (don’t forget to eat lol) and they were very helpful and patient with me. I definitely recommend!

Was thinking about getting a medium size Cross tattoo on my forearm as I survived a quintuple heart bypass in June. I feel very blessed and thankful to still be alive. Heard about AlleyCat Joe’s from a friend. It’s a great shop, extremely clean, and everyone is so friendly you immediately feel comfortable there. Told Joe what I was thinking about and he took me as a walk in. Loved what he drew up and he suggested a dark gray inside with black outline Looks great! Very happy! My 3 girls loved it (and they know tattoos!). Can’t say enough about AlleyCat Joe’s. It’s the ONLY place you should go to get a tattoo! I’ll be back! Thanks Joe!!
