Amazing place. Receptionist was friendly and quick. I sat for a while getting tattooed and saw how everyone who walked in was treated the same; regardless of number of tattoos, type, or style wanted. Very professional. I was offered water while I was getting tattooed as well. One of the best places I've gotten tattooed. Highly recommend anyone there.

I had stephanie do my first tattoo and she did an amazing job! She drew up exactly what I had in my head and was very patient with me. Honestly if you are going to get your first tattoo like I was, go to her. She made me feel so comfortable and I definitely will be going back if I decide to get any more done!

16 hours of sleeve-work. A+ work. If you want to pay good money, and geat great quality, this is the place. In my hours on the table, I saw a decent amount of work get finished and was impressed by all the work. Top notch artists.
Bunny was my artist and I couldn't be more satisfied. Already working on a consult for my other arm.
Atmosphere for artists is fun; where they have fun and insult/pick/curse at each other. If you are super sensitive, this might not be your place.
Highly recommend for great work.

I got (the beginning of) a half-sleeve of a jellyfish here with Mike, and I am so in love with his artistry and skill. I get nonstop compliments already and the remainder of the half-sleeve is yet to be completed! He made sure that my work-in-progress version looked great in the meantime. I gave Mike an idea of what I was after stylistically and with the subject matter, then gave him free rein to design my piece. I'm glad that I did, as he absolutely nailed it. All of the tiny detail work (that shading, those dots!) did take some time, but worth it for the final piece. I'd absolutely come back for future work.

This happened a few years ago but I am just getting to the review. I emailed Deluxe Tattoo regarding tattoos for my ex-gf and I. I thought we had made an appointment for that Sunday but upon arrival Ben the owner told me there had been a miscommunication. Mind you we drove 70 miles each way to get tattooed. We left disappointed. When we got home I had an email from Ben apologizing about the mistake and he offered to do a free session to make up for it. We both ended up with tattoos that we love. When problems happen Ben goes out of his way to make clients happy. I would recommend Deluxe over ANY other shop in Chicago!
