After doing a ton of research, I scheduled an arm piece with Ben. His work is incredible! I wanted my mother’s wedding portrait, and discussed in detail ideas that were swimming around to add to it. He took my concept and turned it into beautiful art. I am blown away, and definitely recommend Red Ocean!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Ben is so incredibly talented! He was very responsive to my questions and emails before the appointment, and everyone at the shop was so welcoming and friendly. The shop was super clean and had an open, airy vibe. The entire experience from consult to tattoo was a true pleasure- so professional yet laid-back and personable. The shop is in a great location, too, a 2 minute walk from a parking garage. Couldn't be happier with my new ink! Thank you, Ben!!!

I've gotten three beautiful tattoos from Ben. And I'll be back for more! I live in Jacksonville now, and though there are several great shops here, I don't think twice about making the drive to Savannah to get my work done at Red Ocean. Ben is officially my go-to artist. And artist is an understatement. I love color, I don't like a lot of black in my tattoos. And Ben pulls this off beautifully. My tattoos look like paintings, not flash. Not to mention, he is incredibly professional and one of the nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. I was a bit late to my appt, waiting for my babysitter to pick up my little one, and he was super sweet and didn't give me a hard time about it. He's a family man himself! Some artists have a "too cool for school" attitude. Ben is not that guy. Crazy talented, but very humble and polite. If you're looking to get a tattoo in the Savannah area (or even if you're not in the area, it's worth the drive) definitely check out Red Ocean!!

Absolutely love Ben! He finished an amazing realistic owl piece on my thigh in two sessions and it's probably the most beautiful tattoo I have on my body. inwilp be returning next month for another tattoo. He is also a veteran. As a veteran myself, I will always support veteran own businesses and this is a great one to support!

9 month later update edition...
Got my right lower leg finished today. Cory Hand done this one. It took two sessions and the end work is better than I could have ever imagined. Everyone I have had work done by, met, and watched there work while in progress has been awesome and professional. I plan for more work here shortly and want to see what else these awesome artists have to offer!

First tattoo ever and it was done by the amazing Brandon from Red Ocean Tattoo. I wanted something very simple, clean, but unique for me. And he very much delivered. He saw me day after our consult and I was there for no longer than 30 minuets. He and the other artists were very kind and helped me relax by making me laugh, having conversations, asking about myself and my husband. Highly recommend this shop and more specifically recommend Brandon for your tattoo fixings🤘🏻

Horrific consultation.
He spoke to me in a patronizing manner as if I was juvenile for not already knowing he doesn’t possess the skill set to give me what I want. And maybe some things I should know, but I’ve only been tattooed once so far. I’m not familiar with the impossible. I think my sleeve idea is great (there’s some sizing issues), but to him it didn’t make sense. But it does to me. And it’s very easy to connect the theme in all of my choices. But I also didn’t need his opinion on that. Everything else, sure, drop your opinion and expertise. Very rude, no patience. He could do one of the tattoos I requested, but I can’t let people with bad vibes sketch anything permanent on me. I’m specific about what I want, but I’m also open to negotiation and flexibility. Because I’m not the expert here.

My tattoo artist was Mareva!! Mareva is a professional tattoo artist with a unique style and she is very talented in multiple art mediums! She designed my tattoo based on the description of what I wanted and she was very knowledgeable about technique. She has an honest and friendly personality. This was my first tattoo and she did such an amazing job covering my forearm with beautiful flowers that I now want another.
All of the artists at Red Ocean were friendly when I visited. Red Ocean has a very well rounded team of artists that have many different skill sets and styles. I highly recommend stopping by Red Ocean and looking at the artist portfolios!
