I came here a little over a year ago with my best friend to get her first tattoo and my 5th (or so). The artist was the owner Jesse and he was already working with someone. The piercer Gina said we were more than welcome to wait and we did. His portfolio was AMAZING. He can do 3D tattoos like you wouldn't believe! Anyway it was finally our turn and my friend went first. She was super nervous and he was so comforting to her. By the time he was done with her tattoo, the shop was either closed or close to closing but he said not to worry that he had told me he would do my tattoo and he kept his word. I got a treble clef semicolon with a rainbow inside and after working on it for over an hour (which I'm sure he was exhausted and wanted to go home) he said you know, this could look even cooler with a flamed background. I had never even considered that but it looks amazing! So he spent even more time FREEHANDING the blue and black flames. He did not stop until he and I were satisfied. A week later it began getting really itchy and a little swollen and I freaked. I called him and he asked me to come in so he could see it. I ended up seeing him at publix or kroeger or something and was able to show it to him there. NOT EVEN ON THE CLOCK he stopped and looked at it. Turns out that's pretty normal and he was right. It healed perfectly about a week later. I guess it had been so long since my last tattoo that I forgot how irritating the healing process can be. But I couldn't be happier and this is still by far my most complimented tattoo. 10/10 would recommend

The tattoo that Jesse did for me is beyond words. I ask for a tattoo similar to my dads 1950 Korean war mililtary tattoo. I would recommend this place over anywhere. They took such good care of me and was so gentle while working on a bad piercing from another company in Clarksville. I will be going back this weekend for another piercing. Also i had a tattoo done there several years ago and it still looks amazing. 5 star all the way around.

After seeing the work he did on a friend, I went to David at Mine Shaft for my most recent tattoo in February of this year (2017). I've got 14 tattoos but he has done the best work of any artist that I have ever used. The tattoo that I had done was a line that my daddy had written in a letter to me before he passed. The hand writing is an exact match. It's located on my collar bone so I was prepared for it to painful but it wasn't at all. I'm not exaggerating, there was no pain. I will only use David at Mine Shaft from here on out!
