My first time here was two years ago when they were still Painted Soul Tattoo. I walked in one night right before they were closing to talk to someone about what I wanted to do for a tattoo and book and appointment. I was hoping to do it on my birthday which was three weeks away. There wasn’t anything available for about 5 or 6 weeks out. Which I was going to book. But I explained I was going to be starting school for massage therapy and need to have time for my tattoo to heal before that because I would need to be able to be massaged in school. Plus I had my birthday off from work. I didn’t know it at the time that I was talking to the owner Ricky. But after explaining my situation he looked at his schedule and asked one of his friends who had an appointment to reschedule so he could get me in. I was so appreciative and my tattoo is beautiful. It’s three 3D butterflies and a dragonfly on my arm. I get so many compliments on it. I’m very excited to say I am going there again next week to have another tattoo done. I am booked with Jess for this one. After my first experience I would trust anyone there. I recommend them to people all the time⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

I came to this shop as a walk in 2017. I was completely thrilled with the ease of design preparation and art done by Ricky. He listened to my vision of a tattoo and created a beautiful piece I can always feel proud of. This shop is incredible. The artists are talented, professional, and passionate. I’ve been going to Ricky since 2015 and have multiple pieces done by him. He does an amazing job. Honestly, words can’t even describe the work he has done and continues to do. Great experience and great results. I have never received more compliments on a tattoo than the one I got from here. Line work and lettering was impeccable. Staff is very friendly and personable. The detail with every interaction and artwork is second to none. Very clean environment and after reviewing the new health department standards it is clear even before COVID-19 came to town, Black Hatchet Tattoo was already going above the standard to make sure their clients were in the cleanest and best environment. I will definitely be going back for any future tattoos.

I’ve had a couple of tattoos done at Black Hatchet Tattoo by Ricky. Very clean, professional and fun environment. The environment is awesome and the humor between artists is hilarious and keeps your mind off of the tattoo. All of the employees are very friendly and welcoming too. I’ve been to other tattoo shops and none have been on the level that Black Hatchet is on. Can’t wait to get back there for some more work.

This shop is THE most professional shop I've ever been in- for the record I have about 20 tattoos from about 16 different shops. The staff here are on top of their game when it comes to client relationships, cleanliness, comfort, and safety. I highly recommend this shop for your tattoo desires.

I am a tattoo shop owner and artist at a shop in Milford not a client. I often check out different shops just to get to know artists in my state. I can honestly that this place is one of the cleanest and professional I’ve encountered. The artists here are very good and friendly, often when I’m too busy I recommend clients to come here. I can honestly say that everyone in this shop is worth sitting with and I’d be proud to get tattooed by any one of them. Got a tattoo from Ricky a couple years ago. Place is clean, welcoming, and everyone is friendly! All around professionals and great quality tattoos. Probably the only place I’ll go to get a tattoo again!!

They have always been on top of staying on top of regulations from the state regarding tattooing, keeping updated records, and the new quarantine rules.
