Shedding Skin Tattoo

I have gotten a total of 13 microdermal piercings done by Maxwell Dannen at Shedding Skin. He is very professional, friendly, and efficient and his shop is kept immaculately clean. I was initially very nervous (fear of needles), but he did a great job of calming my nerves and making me feel at ease. He worked with me to create a unique design and made sure I was completely happy with it before starting piercing. He walked me through the entire process as he was working, and worked so quickly and with such a steady hand, I felt very little pain. He also made sure I fully understood the aftercare instructions, even responding immediately to my text messages the next day when I had questions. I have received lots of compliments on the unique piercing design he created for me. Maxwell Dannen at Shedding Skin Tattoo and Piercing is the ONLY person I trust to do my piercings and I will definitely be back.

I had my nostril pierced about a year ago. It was my first piercing. I highly recommend Maxwell as he was very knowledgeable and I felt super comfortable in the chair. I recently lost my fishtail and contacted him, he responded right away and I came in same day for new jewelry! I will definitely go back when I'm ready for my next set of piercings.

A friend of mines recommended Katlyne. She did her bouquet on her arm a few weeks ago. I wanted lavender on the back of my arm. I sent her a msg on Instagram showing her what I wanted and she did a beautiful job. I paid the deposit (they accept cash or card) and a week later she did my tattoo. My friend and I got our rook piercings done by Maxwell and the process was uncomfortable. He shoved the needle through but he left it there until it stopped bleeding to even put the ring through. It took too long and he applied a lot of pressure with a q-tip to get the blood to come out. Sitting with a clamp on a new wound for that long is unpleasant. He should have put the earring in immediately after piercing it instead of making us sit there with a needle being held by an unsteady hand. If he had gotten the process over with and let the ear bleed afterwards, it wouldn't have taken as long and it would've been way less painful. Didn't seem very experienced in doing good piercings. Also, my friend and I were talking about how I was paying for hers for her birthday so I thought he charged me for both but he didn't and when we were about to leave, he said "You owe me $50". Very rude way to go about a misunderstanding. It's not like we were running out of the parlor so it was obvious we weren't trying to scam him. It was just unprofessional the way he addressed the problem. Probably won't go back.

Maxwell has done four piercings on me. Incredibly clean, knowledgeable and ensures that I know how to properly care for my piercings before I leave each time. He recently did two "delicate" piercings for me.and I was 100% comfortable with him. That is so extremely important. I'm not quite done getting modifications just yet. Maxwell will be my person everytime.

I got my nipples pierced by maxwell on 04/27/2019 he was AMAZING! he made me feel very comfortable, told me everything that was going on, why he was doing certain thing! I’ve been wanting a piercing by him for the longest and I’m so excited that I finally did ! Thank you Maxwell!!!!!

Update: it’s now JULY!

just had another piercer in Tacoma take out my piercings due to them being pierced incorrectly! I do not recommend this shop for piercings!!!!! If I could give no stars, I WOULD! it was a WASTE of my money and my time!!!!!!!!

Got my lip pierced the other day and the guy pierced it completely sideways and off centered. I asked to have it pierced in a certain spot but he pierced it where it wanted to be pierced and asked why I wanted it there. It’s fine where he wanted it. On top of that he was extremely rough putting the jewelry through. I can’t believe he made me pay for it. As soon as I got home I took it out. Definitely will not be going here again.

Very professional crew. Solomon does amazing work and is friendly the whole time. Their rates are reasonable for the work they do as it is too notch. Getting an appointment does mean waiting a bit as they do seem to have a lot of clients. Well worth the wait though!

I have been going to see Kyle for 10 years now and have had nothing but the best experience. Both my parents have gone and see him as well a friends. The shop is always clean and the staff professional. The work from all the artists is well done and great quality. I ALWAYS recomend people to go here. -Brezzy

I had an awesome experience for my first tattoo. Katelyn (sorry if mispelled?) was professional and did great work. The shop was very clean and I would definately go back.
