Towns End Tattoo

Clae is an amazing artist and truly relates to what my daughter wanted for her tattoo. He is also a very nice young man. I highly recommend him and his work, both are extraordinary!!!

I have been close friends with Clae since 1991. He's put a few incredible tattoos on me over the years that I still receive compliments on (when my shirt is off!). I have spent time in almost every tattoo shop that he has either owned or worked in since 1998, from Bremerton to Portland to Spokane, but his newest spot in Port Townsend takes the cake! Clae is a really warm and approachable guy. Go on in the shop and say hi and you'll make an instant friend.

Clae's work is amazing. His line work and shading is one of a kind. I get compliments daily where ever I go. People who know his work tell me clae was my artist. Truly one of a kind. He has done a sleeve on me that everyone loves...truly an amazing artist.

Clae Welch is the absolute best. I trust him to listen to me and then come up with an amazing design. He did a half sleeve on me 6 years ago and then a new one on my other arm in 2018. He’s professional and had working, not to mention that he’s truly honed his skills. I know I’m in good hands with him as an artist and as the guy holding the needle. His shop is clean, artistic, upscale and beautiful.

Clae knows how to take the simplest idea and turn it into a work of art! I'm incredibly happy with my tattoo, and will continue to go back to Towns End!

This shop has everything I’d want to see coming in to get my first tattoo, that’s what I did! Finally, Mom and I met the artist at the shop for our appointment about noon and we were nervous, but quickly we were put at ease and comfortable. The artist gave us offerings of tea and laughed with us about our nerves, lol. I love my hummingbird tattoo and so does Mom. Such a wonderful and empowering experience.

My experience with Towns End Tattoo was beyond amazing. I had my consultation with Clea a few weeks before I went in to be tattooed. Durnig my consultation Clae was professional and knowledgable. On the day of getting my tattoo, the entire staff made me feel comfortable and welcomed. This is the biggest piece I've gotten thus far and I was a bit nervous. I very much liked the fact that Clea let me watch as he set up the table to begin and walked me through the process. It was a pretty long session and Clea was nice enough to check in with me every now and then to make sure I was holding up ok. I loved that it was a setting of one tattoo artist to one client. Nothing like other shops where there are people constantly coming in and out. I very much recomemd this shop, you will walk out with some amazing and unique art work.

Clae is a truly professional and kind artist who aids and supports creative expression. I walked into Townsend Tattoo with an abstract idea and Clae instantly made me feel welcome and excited. I'm also a registered nurse and was very pleased with the cleanliness and sterility of his work.

I came here for a cover-up and was beyond happy with my results and how friendly Clae was! Very comfortable environment for anyone to be in and I so appreciated his attention to detail and obvious desire to give me a tattoo that I could be proud of!
