The guy said he'd work on a custom piece for my wife. He drew it up. We looked at it. We said we'd think about it and later that day we found the same piece online. Wouldnt give them a star but it wasnt an option.

This happened almost 3 years ago but the experience will always stick with me. I brought in a design I had drawn up that morning that was mainly line work. I show the owner who was behind the counter and he tells me he “hates when people get their ideas from Pinterest”. Then I’m introduced to the artist who says the exact same thing to me. He tells me I have to upscale the design because “line work that fine point is impossible and photoshopped if you see it in pictures”. Throughout the whole process I felt belittled and insulted and in the end I was left with a tattoo that although simple in design, was poorly executed, having slanted & uneven lines.
