This was my 4th tat, but 1st with Kendrick. Very professional. & place is very clean. He explained what he recommended as doing, while also asking about my pain tolerance. Great experience - Thank you!

I lost my husband 3 yrs ago and soon after I knew I wanted a Portrait of him on my arm…a friend of mine told me about Kendrick and his amazing work, his passion with doing portraits so after looking at his work on my friends arm I knew Kendrick was the guy I needed to talk to, this is the amazing job he did ❤️🙌🏽

Man I don't even know where to start! My experience was way above my expectation from the moment I reached out through email to get a quote, they responded promptly with a response , when I went in for my consultation I was impressed with how clean it looked, all current mandates and protocols are followed in this shop at no point did I feel unsafe or any regret for going in. The staff is dope!! I mean that's an understatement. I had the honor of getting tattooed by Gabe Vasquez the shop owner , the staff that was present were all friendly and welcoming , the vibe and energy in there is just great from their work genuine personalities down the music they play ! My piece required so much detail and Gabe did an amazing job incorporating everything I wanted , he never tried to discourage me or steer me away from an idea I had. He killed it!!! He went above and beyond. His crew does great work as well , they got some magic going on in that place , even though I had a mask on and were all going thorough this crazy uncertain time the time I spent there was like a mini mental get away and in the end of it all I ended up with an amazing piece. Golden Rose is where it's at yall, no bull s***, fair price and just pure talent. Thank you Gabe and to your crew , I wear this proudly!

So im down here in Killeen TX. Had Steve here at the inkmasters convention! He is a super super talented tattoo artist and a great dude all around! Couldn't ask for a better tattoo artist! If your into traditional he is your guy without a doubt if I could go higher than 5 star I would!

I wanted a multi colored feather behind my ear with a puzzle piece and my daughter's name to represent Autism, I showed the guy the picture I wanted and he sketched a feather that looked decent, but what he put on my neck, because he said it wouldn't look right behind the ear only, which should have been a sign but I trusted him thinking he's the expert and I'm not, now I got what looks like a fern. I couldn't really see the stincle he put first because he put it on the side of my neck and it was kinda difficult to see fully. He was nice, but not skilled enough to do what I wanted. I read all the reviews for this place prior and nothing negative, which is why I picked it. I should have gone with an artist who had the best reviews here, but I didnt know I'd be getting a mediocre artist. Not trying to be disrespectful, but after having this now for a few weeks, I regret it and now have to pay to get it fixed, which is pretty sad. Wasted $200 on a tattoo I have to pay to get fixed. These places really shouldn't collect payments first, but now I see why. I will never go to a place based on just reviews, it had me thinking I was in good hands. I'm sure other artists there are great from what I read prior to going here, but I'm very disappointed and will be advising others who to avoid. I won't say his name, because I'm truly not trying to bash anyone, but I'm never going back there again.

Got a tattoo done by Gilbert and I will say it was the best experience hands down. Shop is clean and has a nice vibe. Gilbert is cool and does amazing work! 10/10 would recommend!

We drove a long way and during traffic! but it was worth it ! Gabe did my tattoo! he was great, but so was the whole shop! i loved them all!! definitely will be back and will recommend to others!!! you guys are awesome

I've been to this shop several times and have always received great work. Gabe, Neight and Steve do excellent tattoos and the atmosphere is laid back and easygoing. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Let's start off by saying I had my first tattoo done by a guy that did the outline, then "moved" when I was supposed to get it finished. I went to a second artist in San Antonio that totally screwed it up when I had him fill it in. Finally I was working in Kenedy when I met Kendrick Vallez. I came to him with an idea and he has helped me turn it into a reality. He is extremely talented and has no issues with the crazy ideas I've gave him that I wanted. He has always been honest and willing to work with me and my crazy sleeve ideas. He is in my opinion one of the best artists in San Antonio, so if you're looking to get ink done he is your man! Also, after going to 2 different artists at 2 different shops that messed my chest up, it's been almost 5 years and 2 sleeves of him as my artist. I've got work done at several places he has worked over the years, but Golden Rose Tattoo is the best place I've been to. I've never been to a shop and see the artists always in a good mood. Each time I go everyone is joking, listening to music, and having a great time. It's a very comfortable environment and anyone looking for ink would enjoy getting it done there.

Atmosphere is friendly,welcoming and verya attentive..place is always clean.. conrad is my artist and has been for years.. always on time and art is for sure always on point! Always suggests what will look right etc.. if you're going to go with anyone go with him hell take good care of you!
