Getting your first tattoo can be a little scary. I had gone into several different places and ended up settling with Flesh Electric Tattoo primarily because of the outstanding reviews the place has received. Needless to say these reviews are well deserved. I arrived without an appointment on a Saturday morning but was quickly introduced to Lex, an artist who specializes in anything that contains letters. I took a look at some of his work while he set his work area. He made sure to communicate with me to make sure I was getting what I wanted and just made the experience very comfortable over all (although he wasn't lying about the pain on my ribs, lol). Loved it.

Amazing and talented individuals that work here but I had the pleasure of getting my work from Carlos Torres aka (_wilddogs_). I gave him the freedom of tattooing what he thought would look good to finish up my half sleeve and I couldn’t be more pleased! It was amazing work the amount of detail was just incredible! If you want black and grey this is the man!

Carlos Torres is the only one that I will continue to come to. He has fixed a tattoo for me I had gotten done elsewhere and is currently working on an amazing piece for me. I came to Flesh Electric because my long time tattoo artist, Drew Delafuente, was being hosted here during his time back in Texas this month. I've been working with Drew for about 5 years, and the only thing I can say about him is that he is second to none. Texas has missed him since he moved away, but I travel to see him whenever he is back-- he is the only artist I trust with my larger pieces.
Everywhere I go, people always compliment my work from him. Drew is an amazing artist, a kind human, and just an all around good guy. He has a substantial following and is doing amazing things in the industry- from opening various shops from San Antonio to Kansas, to traveling around and working at various conventions, Drew is hands down one of the best in the business. He will be back at Flesh Electric in September, and I have already planned my trip down from Dallas so he can finish my piece. With each new piece I get from Drew, he seems to just get better and better.
This guy is the real deal, y'all. Flesh Electric was extremely lucky to host him and I cant wait to see him again soon!

I had a tattoo done there that I admire. However, when my fiancé wanted some work done they took a $100 deposit knowing he wanted a Christian themed tattoo. When it came down to actually doing the tattoo their attitudes became negative. They did not follow through with commitments to customers even after taking deposits. Being in the tattoo business they should be more customer oriented and that they weren't. I would not recommend this tattoo shop.

Carlos Torres is a good artist but for some reason does not want to finish my tattoo. I am not sure what is going on. I have reached out countless times. I started the tattoo in April and paid over 400$. It has been 8 Months and I cannot get a reply from him. I have reached out via text and email. Its hard to get another artist to complete it because he already did the outline from the stencil he created. I can’t think of any reason he wouldn’t want to complete it or if he does this often. Is there anyone else at the shop that can complete my tattoo?

Absolutely enjoy coming here and seeing everyone. I get my tattoos done by jake Valdez and couldn't ask for a better person to shoot the bull with. Awesome artist and has so many great ways to fix your tattoos and also help create new ones
