I got an amazing tattoo done by Yoshi at Black Door. I have been waiting years to get a floral tattoo done by her, and finally went for it. She drew up so many different options for me to choose from, all of them were stunning. My tattoo wraps from elbow, to lower wrist and I didn’t feel any pain for the entire two hours, she is very light handed and her work is beautifully detailed. It’s only been a few days and I have already contacted her about turning it into a half sleeve. The studio itself had a very nice atmosphere, it was the most comfortable

I love this place and highly recommend it! I got a tattoo from Jay and he rocked it! His line work was lovely, he was super friendly, and he did a great job. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some new ink!

One of the best tattoo shops I've ever been to. Tray is an amazing artist and I have now gotten 2 different tattoos from him and have already scheduled to do a 3rd. The shop itself is immaculate and very clean. Top notch studio. I highly recommend this place and will be going here for all future tattoos.

Justin Mowray was my artist and he also did my buddy's tattoo. I just have to say that I couldn't have had a better experience. He did my new piece along with a touch up/cover up and it looks so much better than it did before. His line work is amazing, the previous Roman numeral was completely jacked and he made it look almost flawless. Will most definitely be going back.

I’ve been going to Yoshi at black door studio for the last 6 years. No complaints whatsoever! If you’re looking for a tattoo shop hands down the best in Lubbock and I’d say even the best in Texas! You won’t get better service or a better tattoo anywhere else...trust me I went down that road and it didn’t end well.

Had my outline started for my sleeve and it looks amazing! The work matt did is best of the best. I couldnt be more stoked! You need work done black door studio is the shop to go to. Super clean shop, with artist that bring your image to life. Can not wait to finish shade and color. Top notch. Highly recommend.

Awesome place. It's big, open and CLEAN. But I'm writing a review more for one of the artists.

Idk about the other artists and I'm sure they're great but Yoshi's AMAZING!
She's booked pretty heavily and she gets tons of texts but if you're persistent she's well worth it. I saw a review that complained about her not being good at answering texts... umm DUH! anyone who gets as many requests as she does wouldn't be. it just means she's good at what she does.

I got an appointment with her for a sleeve that had a lot of meaning and thought put into it and I came in with extremely high expectations. I wasn't going to settle for ANYTHING. when she came in she went to the back and drew up and printed a mock up quicker than I anticipated. She then politely gave some very insightful suggestions about the sleeve I was wanting and we came to an agreement. Right off the bat you can tell she knows her craft.

She wanted to then use a marker to make it form to my arm specifically and with just the marker it already looked far better than I expected.

It was about a 4 hour session (a lot faster than I expected) and I was blown away by her skill to hold my arm down and press a whole sleeve of detail for that long! And not only that but the whole time there wasn't a moment where she got lazy and would dig in with the gun. She put a lot of care into making sure it would heal and present itself well. If it were me it would've taken 20x more smoke breaks to do anything that focused and smooth! UNBELIEVABLE!

Then the tattoo itself blew ALL my expectations out of the water!
I'm more than satisfied with her work and I can't recommend her more!

I'm not one for writing reviews but when you see someone this good at their craft you just want to shout it out!
