I have been here for most of my piercings (9 at Taboo) and always pleased. I went to Cat Tattoo in Addison out of convenience, but when the guy handed me nothing but attitude, I left without the piercing and made the trek to Taboo. Tim (the piercer) and the girl that did my paperwork were fantastic. I hadn't had a piercing in about five years so I was more nervous than necessary. He handled it great, though, using humor and picking on me (the way a close friend would) to distract me. And to top it all off, they were actually cheaper than Cat Tattoo! I'll definitely look here for my side tattoo in the future.

Got my piercing on a Friday evening...they accept walk ins and their prices are fair. Clean and professional place. I'm happy with what I got

I've gotten two tattoos from Cody Biggs at the Bishop Arts location and both of them are great pieces. I went in with some what of an idea of what I wanted and just let him do his thing with his own style. Turned out awesome. Great color and great style. Cody's a very talented artist and a really cool dude. Having a friendly tattoo artist makes the experience much more enjoyable than someone who wont say a word to you. Go check him out.

I got my first tattoo in September with Matt, he was nice and did a great job. About a month ago I came in to start my half sleeve and paid the 60 dollar art fee to start off on my piece. The artist I choose was Chelsi, she was unorganized and never contacted me back after emailing for about two weeks. I decided to just take my business elsewere. Other then that its a clean shop and the people there are nice.

Working in the tattoo industry myself, itβs incredibly important to know youβre getting quality and experience when choosing a shop. If Iβm in Deep Ellum and I want a tattoo or piercing, my first stop is Taboo.
Iβve been tattooed by Kndl and Iβve been pierced by Pickles and intend to add work from the whole team.
Quality, experience, sterilization, and style are all important when choosing a shop and Taboo comes correct, boi!
The first thing you notice when you walk into the shop is the nod to the history of tattoo culture.
The lobby design leaves all the arrogance and egotism often associated with the industry behind and instead shows professionalism and respect for the industry with both historic pieces of tattoo culture on display with a blend of contemporary style.
The service is great and the humor and entertainment are top-notch. I always expect a fun experience when I walk through the door and have dropped by (pre-quarantine) just to say hello on many occasions. Now I make an appointment. π€·π½ββοΈ
If you want some doap work and a great and overall memorable experience in the heart of Deep Ellum, go to Taboo.
P.S. Bring money.

Awesome Vibe when you walk in, very sweet and caring.
Tiffany did my tattoo. She is very down to earth and super talented. It was my first tattoo so of course I was a little nervous. She calmed my nerves and produced an amazing tattoo! Love it Tiff!!! Thank-you! I will be coming back for sure :)

We are on a road trip across the country and wanted to get a little ink. We searched for shops and came across this one. It has great reviews and now I see why! My friend and I both got a tattoo from Tim. Friendly, funny, talented and knowledgable! The shop is really cool and very clean. I'm planning on taking the same route back just to get another tattoo here! If you live there or passing through I highly recommend it!
