Great Wave Tattoo

Got an amazing tattoo by James Yocum! He and everyone else at great wave are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, & super talented! The quality of the work for the price still astounds me.

I was in Austin for a few days and I set up an appointment with David Parker because Great Wave came highly recommended and they didn’t disappoint. David did an awesome original piece on my stomach that I absolutely love. Definitely going to go back and get work done anytime I’m in Austin.

Great bunch of artist that make them real tattoo hitters ! When you walk into the shop there is no second guessing your in a legit tattoo shop. Flash and cool relics cover the walls and the shop is clean and welcoming. I’ve only been tattooed by Jason but everyone in there is a heavy hitter. Whether it’s a small piece or a full body suit your in good hands. People that tattoo get tattooed by these guys so you’re in the right shop if you want that classic tattoo done the right way!!

Had a lot of good experiences around this town and others, but this was the best I've had yet.
Nick and Jennalee are both really great. Trustworthy, fair, professional, care about what they do, and a lot of fun.
I've already had several people stop me to comment on how good the line-work is.
I'll be going back for the next one, hands down.

Drove up with my buddy from Houston so that he could get his tattoo done. This was a very clean and professional facility. Judging by the artwork on the walls the artists here have definitely spent their time researching various art forms and can do some very amazing work regarding Asian/Japanese style tattoos. Very down to earth guys, they look and work in a well polished manner compared to some of the other studios I have seen.

My friend and I were wanting to get some pricing, and stencils drawn up, we came across Wave Tattoo on Burnet road, and the reviews for this place are awesome. Now I know why! We came in with no appointment, just questions, the very nice new reception lady helped us talk to an artist named Nick. This was my friends first tattoo, so she was nervous, and excited. Nick was VERY patient with her, and ended up drawing multiple scetches for her untill it was perfect! We are both in recovery, so our tattoos were based around sobriety. Nick was genuinely interested in giving us the best service, he took his time, and asked many questions. Both of our tattoos are originals, and came out perfectly. I am so pleased with the work, I am actually planning on going back to have another tattoo of mine fixed by Nick. I would recomend this place to anyone, very chill vibe, great options, very clean everyone was very friendly and eager to help. Just a side note, if your thinking of getting an original piece, and are in recovery I definatly recommend Nick, he cares, and is amazing!!

I got tattooed by Nick today, on my head. What could have been a really uncomfortable experience, while not without pain, was excellent overall. From the custom artwork to my time in the shop- tens across the board! He was forthcoming with his expert opinion about what would make me look best- take his advice, and you won’t be disappointed.

I gave Nick a direction and idea and he crushed it out of the park. Great to work with and schedule time to get the tattoo done given the tight timeline I had time for, Nick came through and made it happen. Very excited about the tattoo I got and excited to come back again.

I went as a walk-in and they fit me in. Ben Siebert is a freaking genius. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he immediately drew a design that was perfect. Never had a tat artist create something so spot-on for me before (I'm picky). Light hand, too. Didn't hurt. The tat looks great. Relaxed atmosphere. Good location. I'd go back for my next.
