I had this vague idea of wanting a Tom Petty influenced wildflower tattoo and started researching artists. I came across Mel Lockett’s portfolio and started following her on Instagram—I knew immediately that she was the perfect artist for my tattoo. Her line work, florals, and creative spin are incredible and I knew I could trust her to fully develop my vague idea into something spectacular. The ability to brainstorm with her at the beginning of my appointment to choose the direction of the design was such an awesome experience. I enjoyed chatting with her while she worked and she respected when I just needed to squeeze the hell out of my sweater when it hurt. 😂 She’s a tattoo wizard that I would go to time and time again (when I figure out what I want next 😉). Mel took my idea and sprinted with it. I’m in love with it and keep finding excuses to roll up my sleeves to show it off even though it’s getting cold. Thank you Mel and the whole Hart & Huntington Nashville team for a beautifully memorable experience!

Bad business and this would have been my 2nd tattoo with them. I submitted the work I wanted to have on my arm and they said it was approved, so I gave my $1000 deposit. I get to the shop for them to say, Oh this cant be done I am not sure who approved this, but we can do something else which was not even close to what I had approved by staff. After the 3rd attempt of them trying to fix this in the shop, I told them I wanted my deposit back since they approved the design and then couldn't do it, they said no. I would not recommend this place, dealing with people who cant do honest business with. Who knew they were in the wrong and still wouldn't do the right thing. I wonder how many locals and tourist they have pulled this same game with, oh yes we can do that, send your deposit, and then say we cant do that and keep the money and not doing any work. Good honest people and businesses do not treat others like this, be aware.
Tourist coming off Broadway should shop around and find another place that can actually do the work they are expecting to get. Locals should be aware of how this business operates.

Walked for a quote. Ultimately decided against going here. Work is subpar and for a basic small line work tattoo no color minimal shading was quoted at $400-$600. Shop definitely looks to take advantage of tourists. Shop minimum is $150

Tarik was awesome! Very patient, took his time to make sure it was exactly what we wanted (with his special touch). Highly recommend!

Nicest place i have ever gotten a tattoo by far, not the cheapest but it is absolutely worth the money given the quality of the shop and work that they do.

My fiance and I both went to see Cody for a few large peices(including my head tattoo) and he did an amazing job.

If you are looking for a nice shop where you can be certain you will walk out happy with the work you got done check them out, some seriously talented and nice folk here.

This place is extremely overpriced! The minimum is very high, and they do what they can to make you pay the most, including forcing you to buy a specific cleaning kit. My tattoo is fine, but I could have gone literally anywhere else and paid half the price. My tattoo artist was also very unprofessional. My appointment was at 3, and he went downstairs to what I assume was the bar at 3:10. I didn’t start my tattoo until 4. He wasn’t apologetic nor was he in any sort of rush to start the tattoo despite loads of people with appointments. There is also a small section of my tattoo where the lines are not connected. Overall extremely disappointing. Go somewhere else if you value your money, time, and tattoo quality!

HANDS DOWN BEST TATTOO SHOP EVER!!! i came in on a Saturday thinking i could get a half sleeve done that day, which i was informed i couldn’t but not even 2 seconds past by i was told they could get me in the next morning! i was so pleased with how they didn’t say sorry and push me out the door but yet they came up with a solution to make me happy! They truly care about you as a person and will get everything you like in your tattoo down to the finest detail! Brandon did my tattoo and it came out better than what i could have imagined, he assured me that he could change anything i don’t like and we could take as long as we needed too. not only did he perfect my tattoo he also stayed at work late the night before to plan my tattoo and came in way earlier than he normally does just to get my tattoo done by the time i left! 10000% will always be my favorite tattoo shop…on top of them doing a fantastic job they all were clean ,professional ,and on time!!!

Awesome place to get a tattoo! They are very clean and give you an incredible customer service based on what you want. I recommend Cody Maestas he did such a great job in my arm. I definitely come back!

Doug did an amazing job on my tattoo! My wife got a tattoo at the same time by Tarik which was equally impressive. I would recommend these guys 1000 times out of 1000. It's a pretty neat shop too, located in the second floor of an old, brick building. Very clean and well kept.
