I've gotten tattoos from both Bean at the Kingston Pike/Bearden location and Voodoo at the Downtown location. Both artists and locations were awesome and clean. I am especially impressed with how much time, energy, and care Voodoo put into the tattoo he did for me. It's simply beautiful and perfect! He was extremely professional and courteous and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Bean's work is wonderful as well, he just did a tiny tattoo for me so I can't speak to his large, complicated work, but I'm sure it's great! My friend got a huge custom piece from him that is gorgeous. All in all, I highly recommend this shop for your tattoo needs!

This is the only place I go for my tattoos! I myself being a local artist completely recommend this business for your skin art! The skill and talent are top notch and they are so clean and organized! You won’t be disappointed!!!
Also Bean is a primo cover-up artist! He’ll fix whatever mistake you made and make you so proud of your new beautiful piece of art on your body!!!

I was in the area over the summer for military training, and a new friend and I went in for a quick, fun tattoo before leaving town a few days later. I told the guy, Jeff, I wanted a dainty sunflower on my wrist- realistic looking and cute! He was very friendly and drew something up quick and I loved it! When he put the stencil on my arm it still looked great and he went ahead with tattooing.... and it looked terrible. I don’t know if he didn’t like me or something & wanted to sabatoge my poor arm, but it looks like my 5 year old nephew drew this flower on my arm. The healing process was painful and long for such a small tattoo. He went wayyy too deep with the needle and I have some serious scar tissue left behind. It was very swollen and I ended up having some blow out from bubbled up ink in my skin. It’s embarrassing and I am finally getting it covered up this week. I have several other tattoos and have never had an experience like this before, there’s better places out there and I recommend finding them. At least don’t go to Jeff, he didn’t even TRY to make this look good. Extremely disappointed in my service. I added some photos, one from the day I left the shop, one was a few days later, and another is what it looks like fully healed. SO bad

By far the BEST shop in Knoxville! Incredible work, nicest people, and great prices! Was quoted $800 at vivid tattoo for a piece. Had it done at Synergy for $300! Bean and Christopher are great artist and would recommend them to everybody!!

I had gotten my first tattoo here maybe like 6 years ago, they were awesome then. I recently moved back to knoxville and decided to add my youngest's name to my arm. (Long overdue.) They are still amazing! Robbie did such a great job! Great environment. Amazing talent. Very clean. Comfortable. They know how to treat their customers. Will always reccomend synergy! Thanks!
