Gatlinburg Tattoo Company

Went in to try and get a tattoo done while on a trip but my tattoo idea was instantly shot down. Before even speaking to the person that looked at my tattoo, I was told that if I didn’t have a full sleeve “they probably won’t tattoo your hand because it’s a big jump”. I’m well aware of the severity of a hand tattoo, I already have one which the piercer saw. It’s upsetting for someone to say that the tattoo you want is “not tattoable especially with different shades of red”. It’s easy for those shades of red to appear on my skin (i have colored tattoos with red in it and it shows up on my skin perfectly) so I’m not sure what the issue was. But if he had of listened to what I wanted then he would have found out that I wanted to change it just a little so it wasn’t that detailed. I fell that if it’s not something you want to tattoo then say that. If it’s not your expertise say that. Don’t instantly shoot down something that’s meaningful to me.

Great service, nice atmosphere, very kind and friendly. Overall, a really great experience to have on vacation. Now I have a lasting memory I can take everywhere I go. Thank y’all!

I went to get my mothers name tatted on me for my birthday. The artist that did my tattoo was named Ben I believe. My tat looks horrible after it healed because he can’t do line work and didn’t go deep enough. He was also extremely rude to my sister because she was try to help me? Not sure but definitely wouldn’t go to him if I were you.

My bestfriend and I decided to do a spur of the moment tattoo today & this place is hands down the place to go! We had looked for other places & they were going to charge double the price that Tim did.The atmosphere & experience was great. Tim was super helpful with the design & super chill to talk to! Prices are definitely fair & the work they do is amazing. They treat you like family, definitely my go to from here on out!

I can not recommend Gatlinburg tattoo company enough! Being completely transparent I was apprehensive reading some of these reviews. Some of which included terrible customer service experiences, bad line work etc. But I figured that of the 1k+ reviews, even if say 100 of them were bad that was still less than 10% so I chanced it and went anyway. And I’m so glad I did, I had a marvelous experience. Joey tattooed me. I wanted a VERY small but specific fairy from a video game placed behind my ear. I figured only a skilled tattoo artist could accomplish what I wanted because as I said- it was a very small tattoo located in a very tight space. Joey was very honest with me about what to expect with my location and color choice. Telling me that there was a possibility of some of the color spreading some. This was fine given the tattoo style that I wanted anyway. but I definitely appreciated his gesture in keeping my expectations realistic.it made me more comfortable in not only his skills as an artist but also his knowledge of tattooing in general. Joey definitely took his time with my tattoo. Not to say that he was slow but I could tell he wanted to do it right and took the time to make it look good. I definitely did not feel like just another body on the table or like he was trying to get me in and out to get fast cash as some of the reviews here have said. I am only one person but to address some concerns people may have, as I did, about the customer service exchange. Much like anywhere. If you’re kind, clear and concise I can’t imagine having an issue. I spoke with everyone in the shop and they were all very nice. However I will say- they are very blunt and honest. There is a ‘no BS’ vibe. Which I appreciated but I could see how some may find this slightly abrasive. If you’ve ever had an exchange with a tattoo artist in a real shop- you will be fine. Don’t walk in with your feelings on your sleeve. Be nice. Get that tattoo! Also make sure you tip well! Not because it’s expected at all, but because These guys work 12 hours a day creating pieces of art and they definitely deserve it! All of that to say- Joey took my tattoo idea and executed it exactly how I wanted. My photo is not the best and does it no justice. But if you’ve ever tried to take a photo of that small space behind your own ear- you’ll understand. I’ll definitely be back! I know this was long winded. I got my first tattoo done here last night and couldn’t have picked a better place! I was a little nervous but Timothy was sooo friendly and understanding. He made the entire process easy, fast, and super fun! Plus he did an amazing job on the tattoo itself 10/10 recommend going to him!!!
