We had appointments with Scuba Steve for two months. When I texted two days prior to our very long drive to see him, I clarified that he would have enough time to get us in....I even briefly reminded him what we were looking for. When we arrived, he left to buy supplies leaving us to sit there for 30 minutes. After he brought us back to his work area, he was already irritable and obviously unhappy with what we were asking him to tattoo on us. (we could tell by the way he tore the outline paper off with a sigh!) after explaining what we wanted, we thought he understood....what he gave us was the opposite. It turned out looking like a 6 year old drew a coloring book page! Then he charged us $300 for that 1.5 hour session. We left in tears, trying not to throw up from the stress on the long drive home!

I've had my second tattoo here now and it's a great shop. It's very clean and can be super private if you wish. The staff is very friendly and has a lot of variety in skill. Erin did my first tattoo and she definitely helped a lot in getting through the nerves and what to expect. Dan did my second. I can't recommend them enough.

Permanent Addictions is the best place to get your tattoos done! Their staff is extremely talented and fun to work with. They have very clean and professional environment. I had the pleasure of working with Cait and she absolutely blew me away with her skills!!

Cait is hands down the most talented artist I have ever been tattooed by. She is so cool and keeps it real. She was super excited from start to finish and that really made me feel confident that I chose the best artist. I gave her 18 very different succulents for reference and she did them all so well it’s like she just laid them on my skin straight from nature. She really took the time to make sure she chose the best colors to make everything come together. Her skill level is out of this world and you can tell that she is very passionate about what she does. I have been showing off this tattoo all summer and I’m honored to have one of Cait’s masterpieces. So if you want a very well-thought out and perfectly detailed tattoo go to Cait! I will definitely be going back to her for my future tattoos!

I absolutely love this shop! There is a reason I will drive 2 hours for a tattoo session...and that is because Nick is the best artist I could find in the 2 hour radius of Spencer, IA! Nick is ready to listen to any and all ideas I've had on the tattoos he's done for me...we've worked together to come up with the perfect design. Everyone at the shop is highly professional and able to help with any questions you may have. I will (and have) recommend this shop to friends and people who just stop to ask me where I've had my ink done. So if your looking for artists that are professional and willing to work with you on an idea...then this is the place for you!

Missy was awesome, she answered all my questions ahead of time. She's super nice and easy to talk too. She made me feel very comfortable while getting my nose pierced. Very knowledgeable and I will be coming back again in the future! Thank you!!

From start to finish, Lee was awesome. I spent a lot of time researching the best place to take my daughter for her first tattoo and I definitely chose the right place. I drove 4 hours just for her tattoo and she was extremely happy with it. Well worth the drive. The shop is VERY clean and professional. I highly recommend them.

I got all 4 of my tattoos from Heath, and I’ve also commissioned artwork from him. The level of skill and professionalism he demonstrates is everything people look for in the industry. He is truly committed to his clients and has always been dedicated to the quality of his craft. The quality of his work is great, he always makes the process easy and comfortable, and his pricing is more than fair. I’ve recommended him to people for years and would continue to do so!

It is such a pleasant experience to walk into a shop and immediately feel at ease. Permanent Addictions is a well kept, clean shop with some super rad, talented artists working. Everyone was polite, and the artists all seemed to jive very well with each other, a nice family feel. I will continue to come back for the excellent service and attention to detail. I have gotten three tattoos from Ally and can't wait for the next one.

My husband and i came in on a Saturday to set up an appointment for tattoos, Ashley got us on her schedule asap. She was very professional and honest. She charged me less than I was quoted since my tattoo took her less time than she expected. I will Definitely be going back for my next tattoo!
