I had an overall good experience at cherry bomb when i came for my tattoo. My artist was Diezel and he was such a great artist who was able to freehand my beautiful back tattoo. He was very pleasant to talk to and did a great job of producing the image i had in mind. I wanted to give him 5 stars but gave 4 because of a few things.
one) he started about an hour late, since a previous appointment ran over. i wasn't especially bothered by that, but it's really the next point that contributes to why i couldn't give 5 stars.
two) I had concerns about the level of sanitation, as none of the cords were covered in plastic, let alone switched out, and he did not wear gloves at any point. He did not set up in front of me where i could see the setup, and i certainly could not see whether or not an autoclave machine was being used for sterilization of metal parts. my concern is that if proper measures are not taken to ensure a sanitized environment, diseases such as hepatitis and HIV can be spread through contamination. Simply having a fresh pack of needles, while certainly standard practice, may not be enough, due to the need for the gun to also be sterilized since the needles constantly dip in and out of what is essentially an open wound.
while the chances of disease transmission from tattooing are exceedingly rare, every precaution to prevent transmission of disease needs to be taken, for the safety of the customers. i was concerned enough about this one point that i wanted to give three stars, but i didn't want for cherry bomb to be rated poorly as a reflection of the quality of its actual tattooing, which was very top notch in my case. no complaints whatsoever about the actual tattoo.
aside from the sanitation concern, i would be willing to heartily recommend Diezel again, and would go back to him again, but this time expressing my concerns for sanitation. I'm a bit of a hypochrondriac, admittedly, but i want everyone to be safe. Happy tattooing.

Add my name to the list of very happy customers. Jonathan took me as a walk-in, and stayed overtime to finish. In spite of that, he didn't charge any extra above his estimate. My tattoo is 5" in diameter, and it involved a LOT of fine line work - which he reproduced exactly from the drawing I gave him. As others have said here, he works fast, and as a result his price was very good. Even with his long day he was in a good mood. He did a fantastic job on the artwork, and I highly recommend him. I will be going back

My friend surprised me at the last minute pulling into the parking lot so we could get me a tattoo in memory of my best friend on this day, the one year anniversary of her passing. We did not have an appointment, and, they were closing in an hour and a half, but he graciously agreed to do my tat. He did exactly what I wanted and it was less than $100! I would recommend this place and Johnathan Roach to every and anybody!
