I would highly recommend this place if you want to get a tattoo in Columbia. Not only did he do an amazing job but he made me feel comfortable. Reasonable pricing and very professional. My artist was Dave, but everyone who works there seems just as great!

I had an absolutely horrible experience at Devine Street. I started a sleeve with Mike. 5 hours into the tattoo, he says he needs to stop so he doesn't make mistakes. Whoops. WAY too late. The tattoo is crooked, sloppy, and done in a way that is nearly impossible to fix.
I messaged Mike to address the concerns the next day and he was dismissive and downplayed it. My biggest concern it that the trees arent lined up straight with each other. Mike says "well trees in nature arent always straight".......WHAT?? That's how you explain horrible layout, and a lack of preparation and skill???
So I wait a month and went in to see what the plan was to fix it. He wouldn't even look up at me as hes smoking and drawing on his iPad. He had me schedule another sitting which I did, and he seemed to have nothing left to say. So I left quite angry. I tried calming down and waited till the next morning to message again. To say my message was kind would be a lie, but I had brought his horrible work to him twice at that point and he dismissed me twice with apathy. Apparantly his feelings were hurt by my mean message calling his work what it was, and he says he wont fix the tattoo or refund me.
As long as this tattoo is on my arm looking like this, I will go out of my way to try to spare anyone else from getting mutilated with garbage work and unprofessional levels of apathy and lack of integrity.

Edit: Yes, I think it would be best for your customers to see my tattoo. Great idea Mike! Save someone else the embarrassment of having your garbage on them for the rest of their life.

Gotta admit, was surprised at getting an appointment same day, The girl at the front was a sweetheart and my artist Bo, man did some awesome speedrunning on my arm, 10 minutes for my small piece and he did it perfectly 👌 I'll definitely come back.

my gf went in for a touch up.. Brian was really nice to her. I had seen a lot of his work and wanted a full sleeve by him. His work is stellar, honestly. I made a consult appointment (which i had to wait weeks for, no biggie) I showed up only to be treated like i was bothering him. He took a stencil, jotted down some ideas.. he really didn't want to talk to me at all. I expected to tell him my ideas and him come back with more.....NOT the case. He said he'd be in touch. A few weeks went by and I didn't hear from him so I started calling to see if any progress had been made. Kurt Cobain at the front desk must've had better things to do then to give memos. I called 5 times over the course of 2 weeks.. here is a brief list of some of the excuses given to me: "Uuh........................hes tattooing..............." (i asked if i could leave a message and he literally said no) A few times the brian wasn't there (or at least that's what i was told) and the last time I called he said ... and I quote "He's a busy guy.................................." (I also asked if it would be ok to stop by sometime and was advised against that because "Brian is a busy guy") I was ready and willing to drop 2-3k (it was discussed during consult) on a sleeve... and i was blown off like I was nobody. If he didn't want to do it he could've just said that instead of wasting my time.

I've gotten 3 tattoos at Devine Street Tattoo, and I LOVE them! Nothing but outstanding artists here that can do just about anything you present them with, as well as very reasonable pricing. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a tattoo, this place is the best.

If I could give 0 stars to this place, I would. I am a college student at USC, my friend and I walked in today at approximately 12:15, excited to make an appointment to get a fun tattoo. I said "Hi I would like to make an appointment." The woman at the front desk then proceeded to ask, "What do u want to get?" without looking up from her computer. Keep in mind that this establishment opens at 12, so It's not like she's had a long days work. I then told her that my friend and I wanted to get smiley faces on the bottom of our toes, we KNOW it's stupid. She still hasn't laid an eye on us and says, "no." Um hi, what do you mean no. Like i'm going to pay you for this. Then she proceeds to say the F word about 18 times, and I don't know about you, but when i'm a paying customer I would not like to be cussed at. She tells us the tattoo will fade before it even heals which I know is just NOT true. Then, she pulls out a folder of faded tattoos entitled "F***ed up Sh**." I know that fading will happen but not that quickly. I have heard the artists are very good, this review is only meant for the front desk woman. :-)

Let's be honest you can go anywhere for a tattoo , but if you want the best you go to devine street. They are friendly, informative, professional and maintain a clean work place. Aside from all that they are just flat out talented at their craft. In particular Josh whom I received my amazing work of art from. He took the time to pay attention to detail to give me the most badass yatt possible. It is great to find an artist who listens to your idea and can put a spin on it to make what would have been a very generic and oridinary piece into something completed unique that you can be proud to have on your body.
They offer a what I would consider to be modest prices for such brilliant pieces of art and totally defy the ordinary tattoo shop.
It is difficult to find an shop and an artist that you feel fully understandes what you want out of a piece but if it is this ultimate comprehension that you seek, you should look no further than devine street tattoo and my boy Josh.
