First time getting a piercing at Area 51. Let me tell you the shop is dope and you can nerd out on so much. Also the environment was super welcoming and chill. My piercer was awesome, goofy, and made me feel super comfortable during my appointment. I definitely would recommend them if you’re looking to get something pierced!

I’ve gotten so many piercings here and every time is a delightful experience! Pricing is more than fair, $30 standard fee+jewelry price+tip and $10 for each additional piercing per session. Best place in Eugene area as far as I’ve experienced!

Omgoodness! We drive 2 hours anytime one of our family wants a new piercing and have converted some friends to Area 51 as well. The staff is knowledgeable and engaging. Kenny is the only piercist we use. Really, it's not against anyone else, but because we started off with him and have seen no reason to switch. He has a calm, skillful, inclusive manner and he makes the process comfortable, easy and as painless as it can be. The shop itself is a trip! It's filled with 90s figurines, arcade games, posters and paintings. It's colorful and fun. There is a good selection of high quality jewelry and the art on everything from stickers and cards to shirts and hoodies is beautiful. $30 and you can get as many piercings as you can handle, plus the price of jewelry. We haven't found anyone or any place as talented, unique or welcoming anywhere near us. It is well worth the drive!

Honestly. I would completely give a higher review of it was just for the piercer. She was wonderful.
The shop on the other hand. When we walked in they were quick to take us on as walk ons with our one person who had an appointment. But told us we, as the walk ins, would be put last after the appointments. We were completely okay with it, until, two more walk ins came in and instently took priority over EVERYONE ELSE. including their appointments. The owner was more worried about looking like a big shot and taking care of his friends (including making it known that he was giving them MASSIVE discounts in front of all the other customers) then he was about anyone else. Because of this, the person we came with who had an appointment didn't get seen until an hour after their appointment time.
On top of that, they only tell you the amount for the jewelry and keep any and all fees tell the end, where it goes from $40 to $70. They only sell silver and gold jewelry, as someone who prefers steel was frustrating.
No. I won't be back.

As soon as you walk in you feel welcome and comfortable. They have a great jewelry selection as well. Piercer was very clean and quick. I had my septum done and it only hurt for a second. Healed super fast as well! Definitely will get more piercings here.

My septum piercing wasn’t properly placed, it went through my cartilage instead of the sweet spot and it hurt super super bad, but! Everyone in there was super sweet and loving and it was a super great clean and covid-smart shop :-) despite going through the cartilage, the piercing looks great and I think maybe the small jewelry I chose might have made it too tight if it was pierced up at my sweet spot or maybe it wouldn’t have suited my face as much or something so I think it’s all good. I’m sure if I went back they’d be happy to re-pierce but I think I’m content with how it is. I was given juice and lots of support when I almost passed out and I’d definitely come again and I would recommend (and have already recommended) area 51 to my friends!! 💗

Got my septum and upper lobes pierced by Holly: it was quick, clean, and virtually painless. Loved the atmosphere and staff (and free stickers and pins). Definitely coming back for any future piercings!

I've been in twice now for piercings and Jared is the best! I won't let anyone else pierce me now. He made me feel immediately comfortable and made the entire process as painless as possible. I also love the atmosphere at Area 51 and everyone there is really nice and helpful, plus the jewelry selection is amazing!
