Skeleton Key Tattoo

I have my entire back, my sleeve, and my chest plate all done by the same guy back home. Traveling up the coast and in town for the night, decided on the fly to get some ink to seal the deal. The owner Ximena, was excellent, she took fantastic care of me. Gave me two tattoos and even stayed super late to finish them the way I wanted to. I was more than pleased with her work and her vibe slammed with my pirate punk rock style. Extremely friendly and personable. I recommend highly, any of their artists, if she’s puts them in her shop, they’re worth it. Shoutout to Levi’s chops and Ximena’s artistic value. Thank you so very much for the memory you snuck into my trip, your needle will always have a spot on my body. *Hat tip*

Great artist. Super clean shop. Comprehensive covid protocols. This was my first tattoo soni don't have a frame of reference but they made the whole experience great.

Ximena was my tattoo artist, she did an amazing job on me & my friend and we were both very pleased. When I described what we both wanted to her, she immediately understood and came up with a great design. I would definitely recommend this tattoo shop, it is affordable , clean and the tattoo artists are very skilled.

The staff is wonderful. But unfortunately my three friends and I are extremely disappointed with our tattoos. About 3 weeks ago we got a tattoo. Obviously it peeled and started to heal. But our tattoos faded. In some parts the ink isn’t even there. Now we have to pay again to get it retouched. It’s so disappointing. And I know retouching should be free but we aren’t from Portland so obviously we can’t come back. Not the quality we expected. Waste of money. :(

Not from the area?? Levi is awesome at this shop! Stopped by to get a tattoo and he was amazing. We discussed the placement pros and cons, why i wanted it and what it meant to me. My tattoo is beautiful and i couldn't be happier. He fixed an old tattoo and i got a new one all for a great price. Definitely recommend this shop and Levi.

I love this shop! The owner, Ximena, is my artist and she has always done a spectacular job for reasonable prices. She's always open to suggest changes, work with me on my designs, and map things out with me. Plus it is great conversation. Check out the shop on a First Friday when they have art galleries and free beer!

Going in on a Friday 13th to get a tattoo, the artist had to just follow a stencil, and even told him I chose the tattoo for the straight lines. As well as I wanted the star in it directly above and alined with the bottom point in the tattoo.
After about 45 min of me lying completely still the tattoo is finished. with one line of the tattoo thick and the other thing and wavey. The trees had uneven lines and smugged coloring. The mountains lines were sloppy and not done with much care. One of the lines even was to long.. I mean it was a stencil a simple stencil...

Along with the tattoo it's worth mentioning that by the time my spot came up to tattoo. There were three artist who all but one who stepped out for a cigarette. Seemed to rush to not get my tattoo slot. Although it was one of many tattoos he'd probably done he did not seem to want or care for doing my tattoo. For me being the only African American in the shop it felt a bit discriminatory. Especially after seeing their behavior and the tattoo work they had been already doing for the 1.5 hrs I'd been waiting for my turn.

I was glad although it wasn't the artist who drew up the stencil. It was the husband of one of the receptionist and she had been blowing his talent up a bunch.

I don't live in Portland so going 2 hrs for a much up to someone who appeared already to not car about the profession in the first place. Did not seem worth it.

While talking they were polite and the receptionist as well as the tattoo artist with the long blonde ish hair had great attitudes. I wouldn't recommend this shop to my friends unless they picked a different artist and had enough money to get them to be invested in the tattoo. Which i don't really recommend anyone to get a tattoo by someone who dose it just for the money.

I came here for my first tattoo, the owner, Ximena made me very comfortable and was fun to talk to. They took great care in making sure I got what I wanted and were knowledgeable. My tattoo is healing very well, and I am looking forward to another tattoo with them in the future!

Came in from out of town to get a tattoo with my husband. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Dan did our tattoos and did a great job! Fair prices and a relaxed vibe.

Got my 9th (or 10th?) tattoo a couple weeks ago from Levi Greenacres @Skeleton Key. He did a great job, as always. Really pleased with the outcome.

I got my first tattoo(s) at this same shop from the same artist, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get some beautiful artwork tattooed! ☺️❤️

Plus the owner Ximena is a cat-lover and super sweet... 😸👍
