Everything about my experience was awesome! From my initial call to the art work designed by Jared!! The first time I spoke to him, I felt like he got my vision and understood the importance of the tattoo! He sketched a beautiful interpretation of the vision I had! He was professional, kind, and definitely one of the best in Portland! The price was an absolute steal of a deal!! I would totally recommend Jared or any artist at New Rose!

Got a Tattoo from Carrie. It was a wonderful experience. She made me feel very relaxed. I shared my idea with her and she was able to take my idea and draw an amazing tattoo for me. The pricing was exactly what I was expecting. The atmosphere at the shop was very chill and every artist was so kind to me. I would recommend this shop to everyone, and I am excited to go back for another one.

This shop is excellent! The shop itself is clean and comfortable, but the best part is the people. While I was tattooed by Marena (who did an absolutely amazing job) all of the artists were friendly and talkative. Marena brought to life a tattoo that I had bouncing around my head for along time, covering up an unpleasant memory for me, replacing it with something that is nothing short of beautiful. I will definitely be back for more!

I’m sure the shop here is good. This is just for our experience with Jared. My husband and I wanted two small spider tattoos. Mine is okay,
I still will probably get it fixed by my normal artist in Florida. After leaving and really looking at my husband’s, it looks horrible! A bunch of wonky lines that make no sense, and the spider doesn’t have 8 legs? Seriously $120 for this joke? We put too much trust in him as an artist, his portfolio looked great, but he seriously couldn’t have put less effort into our tattoos. The stencil looked different than what we got, features were removed/altered. These were supposed to be trip mementos, so now we get to drop several more hundred dollars on this small 1 inch behind the ear tattoo to get if fixed. Personally I would never go to him for anything else and would never recommend him. Seriously, so disappointed.

Beautiful studio, very clean and very good size. 4 to 5 artists there. Marena is an awesome artist, great black and grey specialist, she has a great personality and she creates such a fun time. Her tattoos are extremely detailed clean and realistic.

This is my first review I've done, but I love this place so much I had to let people know. I've gotten two pieces done by Jared. The first was basic lettering, but he did it so well that it had already fully healed in 48 hours. The second was a large landscape of mt hood which he took my vague vision and drew up something better than I would have imagined. It turned out great. The atmosphere is super welcoming even to first timers. Prices were more than reasonable. If I get anything else done then I'm coming back here.
