My girlfriend and I had a great experience here with Lucky. He was friendly and very detailed. The atmosphere of the shop was great. They even brought my girlfriend a granola bar when she was feeling woozy. Will come back to this shop and hope Lucky is still here!

I made an appointment with Daniel Stewart for my first tattoo at this studio. They were responsive when I contacted them with my initial appointment request, friendly when I arrived, and the artist did a beautiful job that I couldn't be happier with. I'm definitely going back.

Great experience of communication with Mo and getting a cover up done by Sean. They exceeded my expectations. I got a tattoo done there last year which was a small fir tree but it was pretty crooked and since I was coming back to Portland they said yes to fixing it! I could go on and on about how well everything went. Just a big thank you for making it a good experience when it could have just been swept to the side.

I came here an hour early before my tattoo session. The people that came up asked me if I needed any help / if I needed to see somebody. So the customer service was pretty on point. The wait was crazy long but I guess that's normal when they're prepping I don't know. My tattoo overall was amazing. Really great quality the money pays off for sure here. They even have some pretty sick merch. I think it's a plus that there's a little bench outside. This may be random but they have the prettiest fem restroom I've ever seen.

Icon Tattoo has been my go-to shop for 3 years now, and it is hands-down the best shop in Portland, full of the most wonderful, down-to-earth people. The atmosphere is very welcoming, open, and ego-free, which isn't always the case at tattoo shops. Plus, it's female-owned! :D
I have gotten the majority of my work done by Gin and every piece turns out even better than I could have imagined. She's very attentive to your ideas, and her designs nail it every time. The final tattoo always has high-quality line work, perfect shading and thoughtful detail. I've also worked with Alena and Mckenna, who were also great human beings and did equally beautiful work - you really can't go wrong with any of the artists at this shop.
I just moved away from Portland and honestly, I'm probably going to miss Icon more than anything else. Do yourself a favor and go get tattooed by some badass women!

I got a beautiful rose and rosemary tattoo from Gin Hicks in November 2017 after following her work on Instagram. Gin's really talented and fun. I've gotten so many compliments on my tattoo. I'm planning to see Gin again in December and January for another tattoo. I met with her for a consultation and she's doing an original piece to cover-up an old tattoo. I've really enjoyed working with Gin and look forward to getting more tattoos from her.

An awesome tattoo shop with a great atmosphere. I was a walk in appointment and Roman did my tattoo. I got three peonies on my forearm. He did an awesome job. He took his time and the line work is amazingly clean. He made sure it looked perfect. The only thing I'd say that's negative would be that it was a tad spendy ($160 an hour). But it's such a good tattoo that it was worth it.
