Empire Tattoo Newark

Dumb. Waited by the counter to be told first week of September for a tattoo that was 3 letters. Really? Not a person in the shop at all. One month one week for an appointment and no one there? EGO much? Also fantastically horrible at answering the phone to say no.

This is a top notch tattoo studio, Josh is awesome. He did a great job with my tattoo, I've had many comments about how great it looks. I let him be the artist he is, to blend the colors to make it as so great. Thank you Josh

I disagree with 24 other people. Not because of lack of talent. On a national scene Mark is probably a B- artist, in Newark, Ohio he's The Man. He is well aware of it too. New in town, I had an appointment and went in the day before around 5 to tie off with him on what we were doing. He couldn't push back away from the Play Station or hit pause long enough to talk to a customer. No other customers in the shop. The open sign was on. 6 guys sitting around a TV staring into a game with zero customer service aptitude. Appointment canceled.

Remember, 95% of everyone with a new tattoo thinks the guy that did it is the best. Wait 6 months before you post a review.

Cory is amazing!! His standards are far beyond any piercing shop around. He takes safety and cleanliness seriously. If you want piercing done, look no further than Empire!! 10 stars if I could.

Mark Brettrager is the entertaining, friendliest, and most talented tattoo artist, practicality all of my pieces are by him. my #1 recommendation to anyone wanting a tattoo.

Brandon did EXACTLY what I wanted!! He did a fantastic job and charged much less than I expected!! He's a very talented artist & I'm glad I found him! I'll be going back for all my tattoos 🙂

Really clean professional setting ...artists are very knowledgeable and help you with what ever questions you have. Also have really put together aftercare sheets to help your tattoos and piercings stay clean and heal right ....artists are extremely talented and alwasy try to get appointments at there earliest availability

Just went there to try and get a tattoo before my birthday.. I normally go to stained skin except they was already booked so I came here instead. I showed them a picture of a dying rose & how I wanted that on my rib cage and was told they “could not do it because the petals falling off would just look like bruises a few years from now” I then showed them a picture of The Rolling Stones symbol & told them I wanted it to be SMALL and right next to MY ANKLE. The lady there said she could do it but because of how small I wanted it that it would be really basic & simple.. I said that was fine paid $96 for it (my regular place normally charges around $60-70 for a small tattoo) and scheduled an appointment for today at 4.. I came in for my appointment & she did the stencil on my leg nowhere near where I wanted it and the size of a large golf ball.. I told her that was not at all what I had wanted & she simply told me she could not do a small Rolling Stones tattoo even though just the other day she said she could.. I am now currently waiting for my refund to go back into my bank account. In short, DO NOT get a tattoo here unless you want to pay a lot of money for a low quality tattoo or a tattoo you don’t want.. I was luckily able to schedule with Stained Skin to get the tattoos I actually want and for a reasonable price too.

Extremely clean. Friendly customer service. Got my ears pierced for my 75th birthday. Would recommend this business to anyone. We had no appt set just walked in and I was very impressed with the cleanliness.
