Studio 85 Tattoo

Got my first tattoo today! Ciara did an amazing job will definitely be coming back here:)

Professional, talented, willing to explain/ educate. Passionate about their work. Props to Butch. Thank you for a great experience for my teenager's piercing. I always appreciate you sharing your time and expertise!

Clean shop from what I could see in the waiting area. Customer service is good. But overall poor communication between customer and artist. I say this because I made the appointment three months out and didn't hear anything from the artist til the day prior. So because I had not seen anything yet, I felt that my idea was most likely not translated correctly because it wasn't drawed up till three days prior. Which leads me to believe that the pictures I gave to them were just layed on top of one another. So most likely no creativity. The deposit is extremely high for any shop I've been too. They require a $150.00 deposit compared to most places that only require $50.00 at most. If you feel this place is right for you then go for it. But my advice to anyone else looking to get work done, go look at other places first and compare deposit fees and the wait time.

Obviously the owner does not know what the word "combative" means. I have merely stated an opinion about my experience with this studio. But now I'm going to into the whole experience what little there was since the review I gave got met with finger pointing.

So the first time I showed up to studio 85 after seeing work and it coming highly recommend was good. Again, I'll state clean shop and nice staff. I was told I need a consultation in order to get tattooed. No worries, I was asked if I had a preference, I said no. So I was given an artist and came a couple of weeks later to for the meet and greet.

Here's now where the problem begins. The so called consultation was just me saying I want a tattoo and when was the best time for the artist to squeeze me in. Asked about my idea and after I gave it to him, he didn't look to confident and said he would try. All this took about 10 minutes. Not much of a consultation. And if he wasn't feeling to excited about he could have down more during it with his computer and got an overall picture of what I wanted, but he didn't.

So, then I had to go home email the shop my idea, not the artist, so he knew what exactly what I was looking at getting. Now after three months and only 48hrs before the appointment I had no communication with the shop or the artist. Even tho I asked the email to the artist to contact me when it was done so we could go over it and make any changes if needed. That never happened.

Now the day prior I decide cancelled because of this issue because it was going to be such a large piece. The artist was sick the day off so they were willing to reschedule. No mention of getting together with the artist to due any changes or just to see if I would like his design.

After, rescheduling and then thinking about I just figured it was going to go the same way as before. So I just cancelled all future points. Tho I was advised I would lose the money, I was okay with it even tho that's just BS since nothing was lost or gained. Even as the shop bagged me to keep the appointments.

Just as a customer beware of this place because of the booking issues and the amount of time it takes to get it. If anything changes and you do decide to cancel they're going to take your money and not give any options of getting a new artist. They point fingers at you and not at their poor communication and lack of managing the clients better for the artist.

My rating will stay the same. Nothing against the shop other than poor communication and most likely a lack of creativity in the work.

I've had several pieces done by Amanda, including a cover up and my head. She's very talented! I come from Indiana, a 2 and a half hour round trip, just for her! She's worth every mile!

I’ve been to Abby twice - she’s wonderful! She does beautiful tattoos. The studio itself is very clean and cozy. I love it here.

I highly recommend Studio85! The staff and owner are always professional, caring, and patient. I'm never worried about how my tattoo will turn out or if I'll get an infection. They are top notch and I can't wait to go back!

We had our daughter's ears pierced! He was extremely patient and explained the entire process before he started. The entire process was just about as perfect and painless as one could hope for!

Amanda did an amazing job on piece and brought it to life exactly as I was imagining. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Absolutely would recommend Amanda and Studio 85 to anyone!

Got a tattoo by Dale and it turned out perfect. The environment is very clean and nicely decorated and Dale was super easy to talk to and work with. Highly recommend!
