Every single artist here is absolutely and unequivocally fantastic at what they do. You cannot go wrong. I have multiple tattoos from here from multiple artists and I will definitely be back. I am beyond happy that this shop is basically in my backyard. I will and have recommended this shop to anyone I know that is in the market for a new tattoo

If you want to be bullied into something you donβt want, this is the place for you!! I went to the shop, and asked them to do a piece that was basically a sample of my motherβs and grandmotherβs handwriting - they refused because the design didnβt include an βimageβ...but they said theyβd do it if I added some sort of graphic - THATβS NOT WHAT I WANTED - I was dumbfounded as I have never has that type of experience at any tattoo shop before - so, I had my beautiful tattoo done at LOCK, STOCK, AND BARREL TATTOO right around the corner...THEY ARE FANTASTIC!! Donβt let American Crow shame you into something you arenβt in love with...they are just pumping you for money - Iβve never been in such a self-aggrandizing tattoo shop - they need to get over themselves π

Sam Fortney was fantastic! He took everything I described and made it better. I love the design, the placement, everything. He even read the short story I described in my consultation form. I couldn't have asked for a better first tattoo experience!

I have had tattoos here from David and Eric, they both did an amazing job. American Crow does tattoos better than anyone else and I will never go to another shop. They offers high quality tattoos, great prices and friendly service. Best tattoo shop in Ohio. Once you come here, you wonβt want to go anywhere else.

In terms of quality of tattoo, good. However, hospitality and service at a 0, and that's being nice. Most of the tattoo artists are not very friendly (expect for the two female ones who are very cooperative). To add, last time I got a tattoo here, I could literally hear my artist, who was Sam, making comments and jokes about my tattoo with another fellow artist at American Crow. Which was when he was preparing his station for me. Which is very unprofessional, and could've at least had the common courtesy to talk about it after I had left. Despite whether you like what the actual tattoo is about, I'm giving you money to put permanent ink in my skin, and I would appreciate it if you could at least show me some respect for it, while I'm in there. Not to mention I was charged $150/hr for it. So unless you want to have your artist to laugh about what tattoo you're getting because they don't have the same ideas as you, I wouldn't advise going here. There are tons of other great shops in Columbus that are far more worth your time and money.

I was tattooed by David several years ago and I came to him with a vague idea for a Lacey foot tattoo. At the time I had no knowledge who owned the shop but I was happy to recognize him from Body Language and he had a vague recollection of me. He had to book me several days out, which was absolutely okay.
The day I came he had prepared my sketch which he practically greeted me with the second I walked in the door for my appointment. I instantly fell in love with it.
During the process, he asked me questions about my hobbies including tarantula keeping, and he worked very fast on my foot so it was great since that is such a sensitive area. I told him my mother was into coloring mandalas and Paisley designs which he asked if there was a way for him to have, and she gladly emailed them to him.
My only regret is I didn't tip him, mostly because I'm an idiot and for whatever reason didn't realize was customary even though it's really common sense.
My last tattoo came from another shop that I won't name on high Street whose owner was extremely hostile to me. Now I'm stuck with a tattoo I have a negative association with but I plan on one day returning to American crow to have it fixed, even if I have to book David months in advance.

Since I discovered this place, I haven't gotten any of my tattoos anywhere else. All the artist are fantastic, everyone is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is awesome. It's safe to say this is, hands down, my favorite tattoo shop.

Woman at counter was very standoffish and unhelpful. Not good for business when the person who is your first impression of the studio is rude.

I went in to get my first tattoo. I got it in the center of my shoulder blades on my back, it was horridly painful. But SK worth it. Alison did it and it came out beautifully even with my squirming and shreaking. I'm going back to get my second tattoo soon. It won't be as painful this time because of the placement. But I am very excited :)
