My boyfriend and i both got work done by Paulie. It was an amazing experience overall. He spent the entire day with us; going over questions and helping us settle on the perfect designs. He exceeded our expectations in every way. Not only is his work exceptional, he is an outstanding individual who truly cares about his work, his clients, and the community in general. This is clear by his beautiful, serene, and very clean shop, his biodegradable products, his dedication to supporting local business, and service to the community. His attention to every detail is extremely impressive. We highly recommend Paulie. A stellar artist and human.

I got my first tattoo from Paulie, and I could not have asked for a better experience! Paulie took the time to go over the design, the process, and the aftercare plan prior to starting the tattoo. He put me completely at ease and gave me the upmost confidence that he cared about me and my tattoo. He has created a welcoming and comforting environment in his shop, his work is amazing, and he's just a really great guy who obviously cares about his customers. Aside from the customer experience, his design was EXACTLY what I had envisioned. I would never get a tattoo from anyone but Paulie. Thanks!!

Paulie is excellent at listening to your ideas and helping to make them come to life in his art. This was my third tattoo and by far the best experience I have had. My tattoo looks great and is a true original.

Absolutely 10/10. Paulie is the most laid back guy and just makes you feel comfortable and immediately at ease. He's an absolutely amazing artist and really really knows what he's doing. Highly recommend if you're looking for good atmosphere and beautiful artwork.

This was my third tattoo experience, and I wonder if I will ever be able to go anywhere else again. For many like me, tattoo shops are not the most comfortable spaces. Often intimidating, not focused on hospitality. Paulie at Magnolia is both an artist and a hospitalitarian par excellence. He made time to do three small tattoos on me, my sister, and my father. He was sensitive to why we were there, the meaning of the moment, and did what he needed to put us at ease. He took the designs we brought and made them better, paying more attention to the details than we did. He is smart, knowledgable, and unpretentious. Book in advance, as an experience at Magnolia is well worth it. For those who are new to tattoos, or those looking for another piece to add. A remarkable experience.

Magnolia Tattoo Co. is a super classy, clean tattoo shop. Gone are the uneasy feelings about walking into a hole in the wall shop that make you feel uncomfortable. Paulie is a very talented and approachable artist who supports the local community. I highly suggest a consultation prior, I've been tattooed by Paulie for over 35 total hours and every time I go in with an idea he goes above and beyond. Complementary aftercare is offered and is the best I have ever used. Magnolia Tattoo Company is a great addition to the Chapel Hill/Carrboro community. He takes the time to provide in depth communication during his client consultations.
