Asheville Craft Tattoo

Getting a tattoo from Dale was a dream! Not only was he efficient and friendly and thorough, but also makes you feel very comfortable. He has strong line work, was diligent about making sure the piece I got would work well with the placement on my body and how it would stretch or twist. His prices are incredibly reasonable, scheduling is easy, and his skill set is broad.

Dale is very professional and easy to work with. He nailed what I wanted with very little back and forth, and was patient with any updates I wanted to make to the design. The atmosphere was super relaxed, but it was clear that he takes the time to adhere to all protocols (COVID or otherwise) to create a safe and comfortable environment. The tattoo came out perfect of course, and I'm super thankful for Dale's incredible work and time!

I've been getting tattooed by Dale since the beginning of his career and currently have seven tattoos by him. It's impossible to pick a favorite! You'd be hard-pressed to find an artist who cares more about giving you exactly what you want and going the extra mile to make it happen.
Dale is honest and upfront about what you can expect and if your ideas will work in both art and placement. My most recent tattoo was a challenging cover-up which he turned into something magical!
Although nature, and birds in particular, are a specialty of his, he has an incredible collection of original art in his shop with unique designs you'll never see anywhere else. His work is always top-notch and his shop is clean and safe.

Dale was wonderful to work with. I went with a friend and we had only the vaguest idea of what we wanted, but liked what we saw from the Asheville Craft Tattoo instagram. Dale talked us through different styles and how he works off of photos, but I never felt pressured to make a decision or even get a tattoo at all. He was knowledgable and shared that with us throughout the process. I'm pleased with the result and would definitely go back!

I’ve been to a few tattoo artists around the area and Dale is by far the BEST!! He’s so talented and so professional!! He’s done a coverup for me and is currently in the process of designing my sleeve. Could not recommend him enough!!

Dale is awesome! He is super knowledgable and has given me 5 tattoos in total now. My first two were part of a special he had going on and were two bees. The second was a larger piece on my leg. My leg got a bit twitchy but he was super patient with me and we were able to finish the piece within a few hours. My most recent two were a halloween special and they are two little bones on my knee. Cute and cozy shop, awesome atmosphere, and I have always felt comfortable with Dale tattooing me.

I have brought 11 tattoo ideas to Asheville Craft Tattoo over the years and Dale has nailed it (needled it) every time! I will keep coming back for more! He is clean, professional, fast, knowledgeable, talented, and an all around great person! I recommend anyone poking for a tattoo artist to go to Asheville Craft Tattoo!

Dale is always very welcoming and ready to make the best tattoo possible. He takes the time to listen to my ideas and gives me feed back on what might not work and what would be better. The shop is very clean and especially covid safe (I’d consider it the safest place I’ve been to during covid). I always find myself talking to Dale for hours because of his inviting and friendly demeanor. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a tattoo!

Dale's a true artist who takes pride in his work. I prefer him to the larger shops because his workspace is a nice clean safe environment and easy to park. You definitely need to check him out if you haven't already.
