This allows Archetype to make its clients feel safe and comfortable while getting tattooed at one of the cleanest shops in town. Of course this tattoo studio is still jam-packed with the same talented artists: shop owner Ben Shaw, Aldo Gallegos, Carlos Cordova, Chelsey Moore, Eddie Gutierrez, Marina Palacios, and now Kristin Garcia."

Carlos was a great artist who made my first tattoo experience really enjoyable and easy. The whole process of setting up an appointment was very easy and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I went to this tattoo shop for my first tattoo and Eddie was my artist. He was ontime, the shop was clean and beautiful and the energy was low key and comfortable. He took his time and continously checked on my comfort level. My tattoo ended up looking exactly like the inspiration pictures that I offered him during our consultation. It's so incredibly beautiful and I'm so proud to have it on my arm. Could not be happier! The price was also fair and very appropriate! Thank you Eddie!

Got a tattoo done by Meghan, it looked really good at first but after a couple of weeks it started fading… when I told her about it she said it was probably an allergy to the ink but that isn’t true because I would’ve had a reaction when she was doing the tattoo so I had to go get it touched up but she would never return my calls or emails and on my most recent call they said she doesn’t work there anymore. So I had to go pay to get it totally redone somewhere else.

I traveled to Albuquerque so my daughter could get her tattoo. (Rose w/snake wrapped around it) It was surely worth the drive. Carlos did such an awesome job, the detail and shading is just WOW. I am most definitely going back when we get our mother/daughter tattoos. Im surely gonna take my son here when he’s ready for his.

I have been going to Carlos at Archetype for several years now and I won't use anyone else. Whenever I get asked where I got my Ink I send people to Archetype. I honestly don't think there is a single artist at this shop that isn't the top of their game. Myself, my mom, and my neice have all had work done with Carlos at this point and the entire staff is beyond friendly, and genuinely so. You guys have good people and I'm so grateful for it!

Professional, clean environment. Everyone is welcoming - no lame egos. Eddie is finishing a sleeve for me. Over the course of multiple visits over many months, Eddie has been consistently prepared, easy to work with, kind, and has incredible fine line skills! I cannot recommend Archetype enough. Phenomenal shop!

Ben and the staff at Archetype were great! The location is awesome and extremely clean and everybody is very nice. Ben takes a lot of time and goes back and forth with you to make sure you are getting what you generally had in mind. I really appreciated his collaborative approach because sometimes tattoo artists aren't very open to hearing about your opinions but Ben totally is!

Ben is awesome, he is a great dude and a super talented artist. His work came out exactly like the rendering. All around it was a great experience and I would recommend Ben and his studio to anyone, he stays on top of the new tech and innovations in the tattoo market. Just in the month between my appointments he already had upgraded many parts of his service from after care to customer amenities in the studio. 10/10.
