Awesome shop. Clean, professional, and they put out great work. Reece is flat out amazing. The whole crew from owner to front end to artists were welcoming and excellent whether you were getting a full sleeve, something custom, or getting your first ink ever. Go. You won't regret it.

Great experience. From Skyler at the front desk to Reece Farness who did my tattoo. I felt comfortable and loved the atmosphere. Clean and professional place if you're looking to have any work done. Especially if you set up an appointment and really give the artists time to draw your ideas up. I look forward to going back!

I stumbled upon Iron Works when I was visiting Portsmouth (I live about an hour and a half away) and decided to get my first tattoo there. Jeremiah did an amazing job on my bicep and I went back to him three years ago for my ribs and again I was very impressed with his work. The guy I was with at the time also has started a sleeve with Jeremiah that came out incredible. I would feel 100% confident going to any of the artists in the shop and consistently recommend them to any friends wanting to get a tattoo. I do not plan on getting work done anywhere else while I am living in the area.

I love this place. After having gotten 2 tats, I wanted the same artist do the rest and I also wanted a female artist just cuz I felt more comfortable. Now I go to Ashlie every time I get one; she always makes me feel at ease! The shop is clean, and the artists are professional & talented!

Justin was great! This was my first tattoo and he created the perfect design after a few drafts in which he patiently incorporated all of my ideas. My friend and I both felt really comfortable with him. I love the way that the tattoo turned out and would definitely go back to Justin!

Yesterday was my 18th birthday, and I decided to go get a tattoo with my twin sister. It was spur of the moment, but we only had to wait an hour.
Update: Overall quality work, though a couple things are the wrong color, and one of the tattoos did not heal well. Also very quiet if you're into that. Ultimately though they accommodated us with no notice.

I go here often and never have any complaints. They are all great artists! I go to Phil tho and prefer his art work. So definitely check out Phil's work and give him a shot if your looking to get something done. Its located in the great downtown of Portsmouth, NH.
