"Promised Land Tattoo originally opened in January of 2021 in the Central West End neighborhood of Saint Louis. Due to a fire in June of 2022, we relocated to the beautiful Tower Grove South neighborhood. Come see us for the best tattoos, piercings and body jewelry. We now offer permanent jewelry, as well!"

The shop has a nice vibe to it. Caleb is the best, you can really tell that he loves what he does! I was impressed by how Chris jumped right in when I had questions about tattoos, as I am trying to find an image that I don't mind looking at for forever.- it will be my first. Overall, this shop is well worth your time.

I’ve gotten three tattoos from Chris Boyle. I strayed away from him once due to convenience and I regret it. While my tattoos are single line art and seemingly simple, it takes serious talent and a steady hand to nail it. Sure, they accept walk-in appointments but the treatment and care you get is not that of an Iron Age. It’s like a fine-dining experience compared to an Applebee’s.
The most important part of my experiences have been that Chris takes his time resizing, consulting on placement, etc… he understands it’s a forever decision.Highly recommend; thumbs up.

This is by far THE BEST, tattoo and piercing shop I have ever been too... And I have a few tattoos and piercings. I got a piercing today and Caleb was awesome so welcoming and has an amazing energy. The whole set up, tattoo area and piercing area is SOOOOO neat and clean. They truly make you feel welcome. Even offered me a water bottle or soda while waiting.
I’ve been looking for a place in saint Louis to trust with my tattoos and piercings and this is the ONLY place I will go to from this day on.
I love how open he was about the whole process, I wasn’t even nervous! He made sure I liked the placement as well. And was SO quick but also so neat!

Oh wow. They call it Promised Land because when the Israelites fled from Egypt they were hoping to find a shop like this. Pharaoh’s got nothing on this place. It’s beautiful. It’s clean. The people are friendly. For some, all of that is a turnoff, I get it. But trust me- they’re legit here. Most legit of all is the legendary St. Louis Tattooer Dusto Roosevelt. Dusto is so good he makes me want to become obese so I can have more space for tattoos. Not even joking. Which makes me think the only way this place could get better is if they added a taco stand to the inside. Tats and tacs. It’s the future. Go here and get a tattoo and while you’re there, tell them to install a taco stand. Seriously.
